Leave it in "D", and leave it at idle for the launch unless you have a high stall tq converter, you'll probably bog it down otherwise.

I like to put it in sport. And turn the traction & stability control completely off.

I leave mine in "D" and leave at about 1K. Havent tried from idle yet but my best has been 12.6.....usually run 12.7 all day. That is on stock 18X8 wheels with the stock 235s. usually cut 1.8 60's too.

I'll give the 1k launch a shot next time I go.

My best run last year I put it in S and left at about 1200 rpm. stock auto, 3.55, 265/35/20 summer tires. I cut a 2.0 60-foot but no wheel hop. I'm going to be a bit more aggressive this year.

my best times were all from a HARD brake launch at 2200-2400 and I would 1.76-1.78 60' every single time letting the car shift at 7350

I used to paddle shift but as the car got faster leaving it in S with a good tune helped tremendously.

Put it in neutral and Rev to 6k. Then drop it into D.

After that make sure to flush the oil with distilled water until it runs clear.
