Traded her in last week. Thought it might be wise to lower my car payment, considering the state of my job, and the future state of the economy. Also got bored with the automatic. So, I went back to an old, familiar friend from my past. (I had a '13 and '14 ST) Roommate still has his EcoBoost convertible, so I'll continue to have a Mustang in my life, although not as a daily driver.

Cant blame you with being careful with payments. I was lucky to be able to buy my GT flat out when I did, but if I had payments I'd be literately screwed right now.

The block in the ST is stronger then the ecoboost. When you can trade it for a GT or get a bigger turbo for the ST either way can't go wrong!

ST1, 2 or 3? I had a 2013 ST2 and loved that car. I seriously miss it every day and if my GT didn’t live up to my expectations I would’ve regretted trading it.

The ST is an excellent platform.

ST1. The Recaros were a little tight for me. Beautiful seats, but too confining. I put a set of Titanium leathers in my 2013 ST1, that made for a perfect ST for me. I may put a set in this one when (and if) my job returns to normal.

A little piece of insurance trivia I discovered last night: A 2017 ST is more expensive to insure than a 2018 Ecoboost Mustang. Arrrrrgh. That's crazy.

It’s crazy that it’s cheaper to insure a mustang than a FoST, but it seems to be the way it is. Two friends and myself have traded their FoSTs for ‘16 GTs and we all had drops in insurance rates (3 different ins. companies). The only sense I can make of it is that the early STs are getting insanely cheap right now; teens must be wrecking them left and right.

To add, as Shifting_Gears said, if it wasn’t for how great the S550 is, I’d miss my ST like crazy. Mine was identical to yours, Facelifted Oxford ST1

Agreed.. unfortunately the Recaros aren’t very forgiving if you don’t fit the build the seats were meant for. The covers sound like a good option. I think they were designed for skinny kids only.. haha.

Weird about insurance. It went up about $30/mo not changing any coverage on my GT. But it was 5 model years newer so that probably has a lot to do with it, combined with it being a “sports car”.

I want to find my old ST.. lol. But yeah the 13-14’s are starting to go for sub $10k.
