Shelby puddle mirrors on 2018

There are threads on the whole conversion adding the shelby puddle to the 2018 and earlier models. I'm aware of the following.. 2018s are plug and play, 2015-2017 are missing the wires so need to have wires run through doors etc.

Fortunately I'm in the 2018 boat so I'm just going to order a brand new pair of mirrors for the 19-20MY with the Shelby puddle lamp installed. This will be an easy swap for me.

But I have a question that has never been mentioned to my knowledge. In replacing my door speakers, I broke the window switch housing where the window switches snap into. So basically every time I push down on the window switches, the whole unit pushes down into the arm rest panel. I tried glueing it but it didn't last long so I'm going to replace it at the same time.

My question is this... on the parts diagram it lists two switch housings (Part 17)

From what I can tell, the window switch comes with the housing as a unit. So if I'm buying new shelby mirrors, is there a chance the power folding option will work? I wasn't sure if the 19-20s had power folding but would love this feature if available.

Folding mirrors are a UK feature - the US spec mirrors are smaller and lack the internal hardware to fold. You would need the mirrors themselves, the switch, door wire harness, probably module programming, and maybe other things...not an easy swap-plus, I don't think they fold compltely flat, AND those mirrors are physically larger than US spec mirrors.

Pretty sure there was a U.K. guy that took everything the U.K. mirror had, added the blind spot monitoring from a USDM car and put it all in a USDM mirror housing.

If you’re interested in messing around and following what he did (be it a slightly different approach), I think I could find the thread again ?

I have an 18 as well and the sound system is kinda underwhelming

how much of a difference would be just replacing the door speakers while leaving everything else alone ?

I'd add an amp if replacing the speakers.
