Yeah I saw that too! Awesome sign!!

Tatonka, u buy that sign? Or did you make it?
I made it. I cut a poster sized piece of plywood and a can of chalkboard paint.... the rest is history!

Any less expensive options to vyper?
they are all junk.. i;ve tried them.
YOu can get the Griots garage mini stool, but it's not as versatile as this.

I have know this was coming for a while now, but Maxshine offer a Vyper knockoff. It's not yet available in the US but is represented on their Canadian and Australian websites.

Maxshine Premium Rolling Detailing Chair (detailingshed.com.au)

Not that I condone this sort of blatant theft of someone's else's idea. You only have to look at the horribly cheap looking seat material and wonky stitching to know that it's pretty poorly made.

The Vyper is an item that's been designed, engineered, manufactured and priced to what it needs to be. A buy once, cry once situation.

The Maxshine is an exercise in capitalizing on someone else's success by copying and building something to the lowest possible cost. And because they didn't have to pay designers and engineers to come up with the design, they maximize their profit margin, especially when it's sold as a "premium" product and sold as such.

Couple thoughts. Vyper wasn't the first chair of it's kind. They made a prettier one and are charging a lot for it.
When you have a product that sees any kind of success, it does position itself to be undercut. The vyper one looks good but that's just a lot of money for somthing like that. I'm not surprised when I see competing products enter the market at a lower pricepoint, that's the name of the game. If Vyper was more competitively priced, it might make it less worthwhile for anyone else to produce a chair.

Garage Pressure Washer Project:
I've been looking for quite some time for a pressure washer/detailing solution that would be quick, easy, and fairly drama free. I realized that having my main outside water faucet next to the main entrance of the house was a deterrent. Every time I wanted to setup a pressure washer or just do a simple 2 bucket wash with a hose it was major work getting everything dragged out of the garage and extending the hose a fair distance to the driveway. So I bit the bullet and had a water outlet installed directly inside of the garage. Phase 2 was to purchase a reliable and versatile pressure washer solution that would provide adequate flow and be easy to setup.
After months of research I settled on the Obsessed Garage Active 2.0 design with the mosmatic wand/gun accessories along with their pressure washer hoses. At first I was going to use it as a portable solution, but the more I reviewed my process I realized that wall mounting made the most sense.
I ended up purchasing their wall mounted cox hose reel solution with the Active 2.0 and mosmatic accessories.
It took a while to get setup, but wow what a difference in ease of use and increase water flow to make rinsing and washing both the wheels and body much easier.
Very happy with the final setup.

Continued to work on refining the garage. Installed more slatwall compatible shelving and a 50ft electrical cord reel.

I don't know all of the dynamics behind Vyper's business model, marketing parts, production, etc THey think they can get what they're asking for the product and in a one-two at a time situation I think they're finding they can because there are people out there with money and a buy quality, buy once mentality. Check out Obsessed Garage if you want to see your head spin with pricing.
also check out Breeo firepits vs solo for another example.
As a general rule the cheaper mass produced products rule.
Unfortunately as a country we have sold our souls to Asian Companies to produce our goods. Not sure if we can ever go back and scared as hell for the coming generations if our debt ever gets called in. It will make the great depression look like a picnic.

that looks great! I so need to get some of this slatwall added to my own garage just to lift things off the floor as yours looks brilliant and pretty much mirrors the walls near my garage entrance door, i have one single opening though it is a double width door. I presume the shelving can take a fair amount of weight ?

Nice set up for sure. But I'd like to know the cabinet manufacturer.

Nice work. How far away are you from installing the Swisstrax?
I was hoping to get it in this summer, but unexpected expenses have cropped up and not sure if it's going to happen this year..šŸ˜¢

Yes, the shelves are very heavy/robust. Some of the 48" shelves needed 3 support brackets in order to ensure there was even weight distribution, but so far they have held up well. Not putting anything crazy on there, but some of the stuff is on the heavier side.
