Typically all GT350/R VIN's and dash plaques are recorded in a log at the FRAP and suggest that you should be able to confirm your chassis build number based on the VIN of this vehicle with the help of FP in Dearborn.I’m in the process of buying a used 2018 Shelby GT350 and it looks like someone stole the dash plaque. Anyone know what would be the process in getting a new one or even finding out what the chassis number is. Thanks in advance for your help.
Sounds like a repo. Hard pass.I’m in the process of buying a used 2018 Shelby GT350 and it looks like someone stole the dash plaque. Anyone know what would be the process in getting a new one or even finding out what the chassis number is. Thanks in advance for your help.
Whatever happens, please come back here to let us know.I’ve been looking for a long time and this car fits everything I want except for the dash plaque. Over the last month I have seen price come up in my area and have had issues getting a good trade number for my Roush.
I see them listed on eBay from wrecked cars I’m assuming. Even saw someone selling a blank. You could buy one of those just to fill the spot on the dash. You still have a GT350 without a plaque or with the wrong one.Well I contacted Ford Performance and they said you can’t get another one made. Shelby’s are in short supply in my area and it’s such a good deal. A dash plaque would be nice but it’s not a deal breaker. You buy the car to drive. These cars tend to go up in the summertime and with the rumor of the GT350 being discontinued, I think the value of these cars my go up over the short time. The question is am I willing to wait for things to align again to make the purchase. I can always try to hunt the plaque down. Thanks for your input.
I comprehend that FP says that you can't get another chassis plate replaced by them but would certainly expect them to confirm what the chassis number was for your car (based on your VIN) after which time you might be able to get a chassis plate bought and engraved from the secondary market.Well I contacted Ford Performance and they said you can’t get another one made.
