If anyone here has bought any of these Shelby packages/cars, would love to hear your opinion on it.

As of right now, I can't imagine anyone in their sane mind wanting these products.

$6,500???? They cannot be serious...
+1.

Wish they would've invested the time and $$$ in the transmission cooler set up rather than this...

:amen: Although, it says wheels and tires. So 1K a wheel plus "sticky" tires? plus bling? I wonder about the weight too. Being "flow forged" I suspect they won't be much lighter than HRE's or a comparable brand.

I just ordered 19x11 Forgestars for less than 1800. A good set of Extreme Performance tires for this year's racing season will probably cost 1400. I'm at 3200 invested right now. I'll mount, balance, get a new front sway bar, caster camber plates, Corsa X pipe, and I'll still probably have 2200 left over. Oh the things I could do with all of that to my car...

the question becomes, what is the load rating of the wheels you bought?

What do they weigh?

What is it like to get a repair done on them, or warranty interactions when they crack?

Are the new Shelby wheels, Weld? I didn't pay attention. But yes, they are definitely not an upgrade in looks from the OE GT350 wheel.

1600lbs.

24lbs front 23 rear.

Wheels that crack get replaced not repaired. Period. And Forgestar has been known to be pretty easy to work with as long as you're not a douche canoe.

Note that Vorshlag Motorsports has run Forgestar wheels for years on some of the most extreme road based race cars around. They're fine.

ZERO Interest.

Isn't Shelby dead??
You're a piece of shit with that comment! You guys on here bad mouth Shelby American on a daily basis and no clue that you'd have no GT350 without Shelby American!

I've posted this on others with dumbass comments like yourself that if your GT350's are the ultimate Mustang then bring your car in March to the Shelby Bash in Vegas and run against our 'bolt-on' Shelby's!

Hmm, my bolt-on Shelby actually built in Vegas at the factory and your Shelby is a tape-on emblem only so who's laughing?

Seriously man, who cares what other people think about your car, did you buy it for them? If you bought your car and you love it thats all that matters. There are a lot of people who think SA cars are a waste of money but there are also a lot of people who think FP cars are waste of money too... Don't get so bent out of shape, or maybe go back to the SA forum and talk about how dumb our cars are... whatever makes you feel better i guess.

1600 lbs is on the absolute edge of what i'd personally be looking at if you're going to run R comps and go fast.

that gives you less than 15% margin for error under driving conditions when you have in under control. remember g forces multiply the amount of force exerted on components. your side load number is static.

now if you have lost control, g forces will be much higher and you push past the side load limits and open yourself up to all sorts of badness.

I wouldn't do it. but hey, I'm captain safety.

You do realize that most wheels in that size range have lesser load ratings, yes? Ask around how well CCW classics hold up. I've never heard of a wheel failing more than those ever. If I had the money for GA1R's with a 2000lb rating, then yes, obviously I would. But I don't so...sorry I guess?
