Come on now. First with the Mach name and now they are going to drag Shelby into it?

It’s actually decent looking. It’s interesting he kept referencing Europe and what they like over there. Definitely not the same market here in the US. They’ll sell some for sure here though.

I don't think they had to "drag Shelby" too hard - Old Carroll was never shy about making a buck, and SA is carrying on his MO, perhaps partially out of fear he will rise from the dead and bitch at them for not hustling up enough dough.

That said, I'm more interested in a triple motor 800+hp beast or some such monstrosity that will be forthcoming from Ford Performance.

Shelby wasn’t dragged into it. They are a very willing participant. Gary has a total understanding of the potential of EV’s and is unwilling to leave SA out if the equation. But it’s only a part of what they have coming up. Us ICE folks will not be disappointed.

The side graphics are horrific, but the rest doesn't look bad compared to the stock Mach-E....

Makes sense they’re rolling it out in Europe first considering they’re much further along in the adoption of EV than the US.

I also agree they’re not done with ICE yet (Gary alluded to as much), will be interesting to see what else is coming.

I’ll be curious to see if some of that is to keep people interested and not bailing.

One of the big differences in Europe was that they've always been more interested in zippy hatchbacks (That's where the Fiesta ST and Focus RS came from) and less interested in 4000 lb SUVs.

Now that I've googled the Shelby Mach-E, I love the pictures with the black hood.

It's like "The battery weighs over 1000 lbs, and the whole vehicle weighs 4900, so we're going to save 15 lbs with this carbon fiber hood." 😆
