Great stories to read.

I grew up with my dad taking me to a huge classic car show every year from as young as I can remember (4-5 maybe). These are memories that I’ve held into and mean a lot to me. My brother was always into working on cars and always had a revolving door of them. He was a Chevy guy, so naturally I had to go the other way.

I fell in love with Mustangs probably around age 7-8 and grew up during the great transition of Fox cars to SN95. All the cool stuff was coming out.. Cobras, Saleen, Roush, Steeda, Kenny Brown cars.

Mustang Week started in my hometown and I started going from year 1. That pushed me to save up my broke high schooler job money, and I bought my 2000 GT Spring Feature car as a graduation gift to myself.

I taught myself how to turn a wrench and did a bunch of stuff to that car. Eventually, it got sidelined for 6-7 years and the pandemic gave me a chance to revive it. Still have a lot of work to do, but it runs and drives at this very moment.

I had a Focus ST I loved, but it didn’t fulfill the itch that could only be scratched by getting into a Coyote powered Mustang. In 2018, after thinking I would get a 2013-2014 GT, I found my 2016 performance package GT with just 5,800 miles on it.

Sad part of the story - I just lost my dad. He drove my first GT home the day I got it and he used to bust my chops about driving the car hard, and that I’d be footing the bill for any repairs. I’m now about to become a dad, and it would kind of be full circle to have a farther/son Mustang collection with my two Stangs. Both cars have a lot of sentimental value and I would love to have the same bond with my son someday.

Wow, where do I begin... Well grew up as a GM kind of kid. Dad was a Pontiac guy who loved his Catalina and would floor it every chance he got. I picked up my friends '67 Firebird Convertible after Navy Boot Camp. Kept that car from 1977 until 1995 selling it to a kid getting kicked out of the Navy under the "Fat Boy Program". Anyway when I retired in 2003, the Firebirds were extinct and the only nice looking convertibles were Mustangs. I picked up a 2004, 40th Anniversary Convertible which was nice but not particularly fun. Traded that for a new 2011 Convertible with the new 3.7 V6 and the six speed which proved to be a lot of fun especially after doing several upgrades. After a short stay in the hospital for quad bypass surgery, I traded it in for a 2015 Ecoboost Convertible which while not being stick was still a very nice daily driver and shifting was painful on my chest while healing. I modified that as my first P-51 Tribute Car which I enjoyed until the block cracked after attending the 2019 SEMA Show in Vegas. That takes me to the current 2019 Ecoboost which is a fastback but also a P-51 Mustang Tribute Car. I think the coolest part has been modifying all these from stock to truly unique rides.

So its the early '80's and I am working my first job out of school as an assistant manager of a Denny's across the street from a Ford dealership. I grew up with GM cars and my first car at the time was an 1981 Oldsmobile SportOmega sporting an 85 hp 4 cylinder engine with an automatic transmission that the dealership ordered without the garish side stripe kit. I really liked it and always thought I would be a GM guy but it ended up spending more time in the shop more than out of it.

Then the '82 Mustang GT came out. Working mostly the night shifts, I spent many nights staring at a new black GT sitting out in front of the dealership under the lights. I finally went over one day to check it out and was invited to take it out for a test drive. Well, with 157 hp and a 4 speed, I felt like I was in a rocket ship. I bought it that day and have had a Mustang in the garage ever since.

I have always been into cars and mechanical stuff.

When I was 13 my uncle custom ordered a white 1993 LX 5.0, grey cloth, 5-speed, sunroof, and 17in “pony” wheels. I remember it like it was yesterday. I used to wash and wax it for him just so I could drive it from the garage to the house.

I bought my first Mustang, a 2003 GT at 23. I’m on my 4th Mustang now and with this one I got my dream of custom ordering.

I have always wondered what happened to that 1993 LX after he sold it. I wish I had the VIN to run something like a carfax report.

I’ve always been into performance vehicles. Started with a ‘72 Old Cutlass Supreme. Not a 442 but I did all I could do on a teenage budget to hop it up. Then the import phase, ‘86 Honda CRX-Si, ‘87 Volkswagen GTI, then back to America with an ‘87 Monte Carlo SS (terrible performance but it was how things were then). Then the family years, 2001 Tahoe LT (with a flowmaster dual exhaust of course), 2004 Impala SS, 2006 Impala SS. Then, one day I rented a Taurus Limited. I thought, “With a little more guts, this would be a great car.” I knew they had a 3.5 liter 365 HP ecoboost SHO model. Bought one in 2016. LOVED that car! At times I wish I’d had the Mustang bug out of my system first and still had the SHO. At that point the bow tie was not an option in my mind. But, I knew I had to have an American V8 muscle car before they’re all gone. And I’m glad I did!! My utility vehicle is a 2021 Explorer ST. No slouch there either!

In 2019, I was an armed guard for a bank. An elderly Lady withdrew a large amount of cash so I escorted her to her car. It was this very clean 2016 Mustang GT Premium that was her late husbands toy. She said she would probably sell it to get an SUV. She came in a few weeks later and let me know she traded it in at a Toyota Dealership for an SUV Rav 4 the previous day. I went to the dealership that day after work and bought it. I've since added multiple aftermarket items.

I was always a Chevy man in 60’s the 69 Camaro SS 350/300 hp 4 speed was my first new car and it rocked then I went to a 396 Chevelle then GTO Judge that was badass then switched to a Ford 1973 XLT 1/2 ton loved the truck I stuck a floor shift and hooker exhaust then got a super coupe thunderbird 1989 it ran sluggish so I had a turbo guy who raced grand national Buicks he woke that super coupe up I later had trouble with a short behind harmonis balancer and fuel shutoff behind rear bumper . I then bought a auction state police crown Vic it was a fun car then I bought my first mustang a beautiful GT Gold with a couple mods done to it nice car but I had a lifter hang up and it scared me for more underlying issues so I traded it for a sweet rubyred 2014 loaded with big radiator extra cooling on tranny and reared it was a sweet car until a punk sideswiped me but lucky for my dash cam he and his lying girlfriend got the ticket but I was left with a damaged car so I started looking for GT 350’s I then got the one I wanted with equipment I wanted so I put deposit on it but when it came in the jerk sales manager at Marlboro Ford in Morlboro Mass added a $11 K to the deal I told him to shove it, I then waited for the new Mach1 to come out and bought a white one with handling pkg it rocks but I wish I could’ve got the premium pkg on it too I love though anyway it rocks especially in the twistiest it’s fun to roar around curves

My dad brought home a brand new navy blue 1965 Mustang convertible with beige interior & soft top. It was love at 1st sight. We had it for a weekend, drove it to my cousins (I sat on the hump in back) & mom made him take it back saying it wasn't practical for a family of 5. She was probably right but I never forgave her. I've had 3 since then with a 2020 my most recent pony.

I’ve been a Harley and BMW rider forever. Couldn’t afford a good bike and a good car at the same time for most of my life.. so I had a bunch of good bikes over the years. After I retired I decided to look at the gt’s. That’s when I discovered the 22 Mach1 and placed my order. I really enjoy the car tremendously. It’s an attention getter and conversation starter for sure… so I finally have the good bike and great car at the same time… my first car was a 63 1/2 red falcon futura convertible. It was 1975 I was 15 and paid $300 for it.. I remember learning it was the chassis for future mustangs and my love of mustangs started then.

Hi , it’s a paper mirror tile with fog light amber tint over it… I couldn't stand looking at those blanks anymore… their almost a year old and still looking good. I’m not one for fake or stick on stuff. But they look like lights even up close.

When I was around 10 my uncle took us to what used to be called Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio. On the way there thru farm country my uncle yells out "theres a shelby" I saw a '69 kind of ratted out sitting in a gravel lot. Plus my neighbor had a '72 Mach I, so I've always had hot wheels and toy race cars etc. always had the mustang bug.
Saved up my paper route money and 10 days after turning 16 I bought one of my dream cars in 1981. For $950 I bought a 1976 white with blue stripe (farrah car) Cobra II.
Stripes were sun cracked, it overheated and the rotors were shot. It was a 302 auto.
That's how it started.

My dad bought a new 67 6 cyl 3 speed, baby blue with A/C. I was too young to appreciate it but never forgot about it. Got into liter bikes, and got old so had to give that up. Bought Miata to cruise around in, but after fast bikes and other old geezers blowing the doors off the Miata in Mustangs, decided to get a GT convertible. Now I can be fat, old, comfortable and fast as I want to be.
