Has anyone taken the plunge and installed the shaker on 21-23 Mach 1? If so, does it look in proportion to the hood? When the shaker first came out for the 21-23 a lot of people thought it was the size of the 03-04 Mach 1's and was to small for the 21-23 hood.

Always loved the Cuda with a shaker hood and yours is in my favorite color as well. Damn nice car @Racer57

Just because we’re on a Mustang forum, I looked up who did the first shaker car and found it was Larry Shinoda on a 69 Mustang quickly followed by Mopar. All great cars in my eyes!

I'm looking into doing this on my 2023 mach 1.. it seems you cannot find any instructions on how to install. I want to read up on it a bit first.
Anyone have directions??

Are those still made by Classic Design Concepts? I had one of those on my 2006 GT, loved the way it looked. It was pretty nerve wracking cutting that large hole in the hood. Thankfully I had some friends around at the time, one of which pointed out a mistake I made measuring that almost had me cut the hole several inches to far forward.

I'm all about shaker hoods. But on the S550, it just looks out of place to me.
I disagree, I like it. Not a dime a dozen. Im concerned w water leakage & fitment etc. I dont care about redution in value because we are all in for a shock when you goto sell the car. I got shocked on my 2021 Roush stage 3 car, and 2022 F150 Raptor after that i dont view these cars as collectibles anymore, sadly. Its more about enjoying and having fun with it. make sense?

My opinion on the shaker has nothing to do with value or collectabilty. I just don't think it goes with the lines of the car. Nor is it a performance benefit. But if you like it, go for it. Not trying to talk you out of it. 👍🏻

Dammit. I've avoided doing this for 3 years but ppl keep talking about it. Just watched a Raiti's Rides video on a 2021 Mach with this shaker and it looks to be functional, although it's hard to imagine any noticeable effects on HP. But it does shake and it does look pretty good. I might cave one of these days and do it.

I can only speak for the unit I had on my 2006 GT, but I never had any water leakage in the rain. Occasionally when I went through a car wash I would get some steam but that was pressurized water being blasted on the seal. It had a drain hose that was routed down the front of the engine. That hose could have been a bit longer as I did notice water had been blowing on to my oil filter.

How ya figure no perfromance gain? More air means more fuel and spark equallijg more power. These are mass air cars not speed density. There has to be something to gain. Like when we swap in the airraid blue filter, def feel a diff.
I know your not trying to talk me outta if it lol
Anthony

P.s. some people don't wanna cut a hole in there hood because it's a mach 1 or say or whatever specialty model. That's what I mean, they r worried about collectors status.
