SCTx4 problem

Hey yall

I recently got a brand new SCT x4 for my mustang, I updated the drivers but when I go to connect it to the car and click program vehicle, it still says "please update device" this happen to anyone?

If you plug it in and press check for updates it shows that its all good?

This is what mine shows. The tune version is different because the car is tuned right now.

Check that on the back of the device it shows PN 7015 (Ford)

a bit frustrating considering I finally recieved my tune and loaded it into the device haha

I havent started the car in a week hmm idk if that does anything

I don't know if it's causing your problem, but either way, I would put a battery charger on the car since it hasn't been run for a while. Especially since this is the first time you're tuning it because the SCT will need to copy the stock tune first.

I drove it for about 2 hours yesterday but i think i should hook up my battery tender while I tune it just to make sure. Will the car be ok with it in start mode with a battery tender connected?

Yes, it will be ok.
It has to be ok, it's in the instructions for tuning with the Procal from Ford Performance.

SCT x4 updates are a yikes. Update it once and if it connects to the car, don’t update it anymore. It takes so long! (At least mine did)
