Torrie from unleashed does and there is another thread discussing it.

I already have. The ones for the 2.0EB Fusion are the same and I had a extra set laying around, so in they went. I made a thread about the interchangeable spark plugs for these cars in different ranges, but it didn't get a lot of bites. It shouldn't be buried too deep though, if you want to look at it. I have a code for RockAuto too that you can get them dirt cheap!A good tuner would require them with their tune, or at least have a recommendation when purchasing the tune. So far I have not seen any aftermarket tuners make such recommendations for the EB mustang. Maybe they are not needed. We should comprare the plugs on the ST to the mustang and see what we are dealing with.
Good deal! Thanks!I already have. The ones for the 2.0EB Fusion are the same and I had a extra set laying around, so in they went. Maybe the Focus ST tunes are different but I agree with the dragon, what I have seen and read on numerous mustang forums is that the ProCal/FRPP tune leave a lot on the table and people that have switched from the FRPP tune to a custom tune have noticed a lot better gains and are happier with it.No worries! I don't want to fight with anyone, because it doesn't really matter in the end. I have a 660 hp GT500 and had a Focus ST with FRPP tunes and I have had zero issues. I'm not bashing any aftermarket tuners, even though it may sound that way. I just wanted to offer up some different options.
Without a doubt my GT500 could make more power with an aftermarket tune. No questions. For what I do with it I don't need more. The Focus was different. The dyno numbers from the FRPP are equal and sometimes surpassing aftermarket tunes. Not only that, they require new plugs which we all agree adds to the safety margin. We should ask those companies why they don't.Maybe the Focus ST tunes are different but I agree with the dragon, what I have seen and read on numerous mustang forums is that the ProCal/FRPP tune leave a lot on the table and people that have switched from the FRPP tune to a custom tune have noticed a lot better gains and are happier with it.
That was for the 2011+ mustangs and those cars that Ford installed the FRPP/whipple s/c on...I am sure they left it very safe since they offer a 3 year/36k warranty on it.
It helps remove heat out of the combustion chamber thereby reducing knock or the chance of having it. Like Greg said, it's just good cheap insurance. This thread has taken off lol, I don't have one step colder plugs in mine either. Think I need them?
I wish I could explain how the Livernois tuning works.Yeah, they can send you a revised tune for bolt-ons. But it's just an OTS tune. Their tuner doesn't datalog so at best they are making an educated guess (possibly a very good one, but without logs how do they know?) on how the tune should be adjusted.
And didn't use a Livernois tunerI think LN admitted it in another post when they were called out about it.....the post where mbreinin was upset that he bought the car expecting to do the same mods LN did and run high 11's...
