car is woke from winter slumber and now time to mount the rear license plate for the first time.
I do not have the self tapping screws that are supplied by Ford.

can anyone tell me what size/threadI can go buy?

Thank you in advance

What an exciting time for you!
I would think you can use whatever you want. If you bought or are buying a special plate frame, Iā€™d just use the screws that most likely come with the frame.

Can you guys get plate tape over there and is it legal for your state ?

Itā€™s strong and neat with no drill holes :like:

Ford Dealer close by? If so, go to the Parts Department and they will give them to you for free, at least mine did. You may have to drill the holes out though, they were not exactly self tapping. Recommend regardless if you use a plate frame, or not use weather stripping on the back of the frame/plate to protect the paint/vinyl.

I bought these a few weeks ago and they screw right into the rear mounts.

On edit, I missed you didn't have yours already drilled. Mine were drilled, just didn't have the screws so I used the ones I linked.

Drilled small pilot holes then used stainless steel self tapping #12 3/4ā€ and am pleased with the results.
