Ok, so yet another thread got shut down, presumably because the moderator felt it was political in nature.
If this is correct, the irony of cancelling something (a discussion around science) because they disagree with it is both hilarious and consistent.
Anyways, things are either demonstrably true or they aren’t.
The sky is blue regardless of your particular persuasions.
The theory of gravity doesn’t have “sides”, nor does the carbon dioxide theory of climatic change. You either grasp it or you don’t.

150 years of science doesn’t care about your political affiliations.

By science I am guessing you mean showering a theory with money until you can prove it’s merit?

Global warming is a perfect example. People quote science when talking about it, yet the best funded theories are mainstream. There is also very compelling(yet unfunded) theory that shows our massive heat source is the main factor in our climate. There are also dozens of others. Science?

Science is funded to support an opinion now. The unpopular conclusions don’t get more funding. What do you think that does?

Which heat source are you referring to?
This one?
Yes, it’s the primary driver.

Not if they're only theories.

A theory is " a supposition or a system of ideas intended to explain something ", which leaves it somewhat short of being a universal truth. IOW, a hypothesis; not yet proven.

It's mildly ironic that you chose to use the current buzzword (cancel), as that's more associated with impatience by some regarding others as being too slow to accept change.

I remember reading when they took ice core samples from some glacier the Co2 levels were highest during a time when global temps were colder than now, an ice age.

Except that a “theory“ in science is the highest possible achievement. It’s not the same as the colloquial use.
A “theory” describes a set of FACTS (observations). A theory has predictive capability. And guess what? It works...
You can even use the Earths history and the more recent predictions for the future to prove it....amazing right?

If climate change is such a real and dangerous threat, the left wouldn’t have to work so hard to convince the rest of us.
You mean “Those with vested interests wouldn’t petition so hard against it if it were completely innocuous”.
Ever wondered why big oil spends so much money on disinformation campaigns?
You only need to look at the other thread to see how well it worked. People reciting tired (and utterly debunked) refutations that they think actually count as “evidence”.

You might be surprised how many people on the right do believe in climate change. Look it up, it's quite illuminating. Also as much as you might not want to believe this climate change is not just an issue in the United States. It is a worldwide issue and even the worst offenders are now changing their tune.

You can, of course, believe anything you want. It doesn't change anything.

So, the election was stolen, climate science is a hoax, and the vaccine contains a tracking chip?

Is now a good time to mention that the big oil companies knew all of this many decades ago and supressed the information? Or is that too much conspiracy theory for the conspiracy theorists?
