So I got a code reader due to my engine light showing and these are what pops up. I did put a new battery in when I purchased. When car is idling I do notice a slight misfire on occasion. I also have been smelling gas fumes when it idles. Not enough but enough for me to notice and think twice about it. My first thought was hmm… running rich? But that’s because I’m used to working on big block Chevy motors. Any ideas on where to start doing test for a resolve on each code?

I wouldn’t mess with any of it until the metal repairs are done and its completely back together mechanically. While your doing the tear down you’ll probably come across any issue’s with the harness and address it as you do. Goes for accompanying sensors as well.

Agreed, sounds like harness issues from the accident.

Added the corsa x pipe today. Pulling that annoying valve fuse tomorrow so this thing stays open and ferocious all the time. Can’t stand the on off on off during a start up. Sounds pretty good to me.

What do y’all think?

No idea about the codes, but if you’re smelling like it’s running rich, did you check to see if the cats were removed? Modern exhaust is fairly odorless…..

Another thought….don’t know the Coyote as well as the old 4.6, but bypassing the EVAP on the old 4.6 gained a little power, so that could be a place to look as well.

I’ve got a new Evap valve coming tomorrow so will try that. Cats are still in place

New evap valve seamed to do the trick. Fuse was pulled and now “cold” start ups are even more lovely without active valves. It’s 100+ here in houston so as cold as cold starts can get lol. Car will be going to frame shop next week.

As far as stripes go… I’m leaning towards this stealth ghost stripe setup another user on her posted a while back. I think as a Shelby, it needs stripes but I also like the undercover look of the ghost. Thoughts? I will also be putting black on the roof

The fact the glass guy was able to drop it in square is a good sign for frame straightness. Kind of suggests no hidden A pillar or roof damage. (This seems to be coming along fast.) Fun thread to watch.

True. It’s also a very bad idea to install new glass before a car goes on a rack for any kind of work. That’s frame machine 101.

Did not know that, but when you think about it makes sense. Learn something new everyday.

I’m sure he’ll be ok. I’m sure he’s using a good shop. That said, funny stuff happens when you start pulling on a unibody or any frame for that matter. It’s just a good precaution to always use. I’ve had tech’s not pay attention in the past(almost exclusively on front end work) and pop windshields with an accidental overpull. If you’ve never been around a rack in use the amount of power they have is pretty impressive.
