Used ngauge how to unlock it and who can tune for it

Emailed hptuners they said they can’t unlock it since they don’t support it anymore...who can I have it tuned by that can unlock it

Reach out to PBD or Lund and ask them. They may be able to unlock it if you buy credits but am not 100% on that.

If. Get a used one that was used by VMP, do you think I could still have them use it to tune for me?

yeah I think I have the same problem I got my buddy's old one and no one knows how to unlock it. I called PBD and they said it should be in settings and that it should be easy but I need a pin and my friend says he doesn't remember making one so do I have to buy a new one or a different tuner?

IIRC the only way to un-marry a N-Gauge is through the manufacturer.

They closed the doors in December or January.

If it is a Lund branded one he may be able to.

A file is required for the unlock. Most tuners will provide that file when you purchase tunes from them. Emotion shutting down did not have much affect on the ability to unlock. A few of the last gauges sold cannot be unlocked and I believe you may be done when you get to 3 unlocks on a gauge. Aside from that it shouldn't be too much of an issue to get it unlocked.

Correct. Also, when you buy a used Ngauge, there's a reason why the seller says " married, just need to get it unlocked ", which translated means: "it's been passed around more than a hooker at a biker convention, it's never gonna get unlocked."

I see some affordable used NGauge's by me that claim to be unlocked. Im 100% ,new to this platform so Are they vehicle specific? Do i have to specifically find one for a 2019 GT or can i buy this one off a 2017 and its just plug and play then pay for a custom tune?

If it's unlocked your good with HP tuners Ngauge. A unlocked LUnd Ngauge is like GOLD. I had offers of up to $800 for my unlocked/never been married Lund Ngauge.
