So my rear end is growling when I’m on the highway and let off the gas. Shop I talked with said they would just put in a whole new rear end instead of trying to diagnose the part that needs to be replaced.
I have a 15 GT automatic with 3.15 gears though. Should I just buy this from LMR and get...
Only changed the rear passenger because that seemed to be where the noise was coming from.
I’m thinking it’s ring and pinion failure now too. Really not looking forward to that repair bill.
I have searched and searched the forums and haven’t found anything.
At 40 to 60 the noise isn’t that noticeable (thanks to exhaust) but if I let off throttle it’s very much noticeable. Sounds like a growling/roaring and I’m thinking a bad bearing in the differential based on this video

Has anyone replaced their valance ? Wondering if it’s just a few screws and/or push pins or what.
shope tried to pull it onto alignment rack and wasn’t paying attention. Luckily it didn’t break the front bumper tabs.

This group and specifically this thread just saved me (based on other users comments) 500 - 900 dollars. Magnets worked like a charm! I’m sure some more people will experience this with their 2015 models but for reference my car only had 51K miles when this happened yesterday.
So it may be related to a possible bad gas problem causing loss of throttle response until I let off throttle but has anyone been able to start their car without putting foot on the brake?
I believe for the manuals you have to push in the clutch only but for autos you should have to push in...
So I pulled the Gen 2 manifold off, installed the lockouts. Now I’m trying to figure out what needs to be capped or reinstalled to prevent any issues. I thought the hose leading through passenger side of IM could be deleted
2M. Live and learn but if I had to do it over again I probably would’ve just ponied up more money for a better fitment. Nothing crazy but like EPTS550 said, steering shaft and passenger side frame rail.
Not a job I would reccomend for any weekend mechanics but if you do it yourself (with the...
