This is actually really useful, I couldn't find anything on the UK side of the forum detailing what bulbs were needed for each set of lights and I was trying pretty hard with the search function of the forum! So cheers, very helpful!

Yeah there's a list floating around somewhere but it's all mumbo jumbo and open to interpretation, easier just to post all I used as a 'Yeah here you go, go wild' kind of post ;) Then adding in bulb fittings / LED levels so you can find cheaper if possible!

Will try and get the sidelights fitted this weekend, weather permitting.....now where's those heads up instructions I saw to fit these fiddly things....

Why do you need vaseline for the side/DRLs lights?

Because sometimes the DRLs/Sides may not actually fit back in, the same reason you may also need to file it down, makes it easier as the O-ring seemed (for me at least, and RobMJ who found out last night) don't want to go back in too easily, put up one hell of a fight!

It's really mainly down to the O-Ring and the 3 'keys' around the circle that you have to line up, force in and then twist, just making life easier ;)

That reminds me, going to check the DRL fitment again when I fit my sidelights especially the passenger one (so far it's stayed in place).
With the sidelights do I need to remove another bulb to gain better access? Also needle nose pliers for removal and replacing?

Is it the brown connector shown at this point of the video that I aiming for yeah?

Sidelights I'd remove the indicator just so you can get your hand round. The sidelights have a piece of metal housing next to them so are quite the near impossible task to 'spin' I clamped mine in needle nose plyers and twisted pretty hard, they were properly jammed in there! (Passenger side came out easiest!)

You're aiming for a grey looking clip, the brown one is the indicator. the US specs have an indicator and sidelight in the same housing, ours are two separate housing. BY removing the indicator (the brown connector you referenced) you'll see a grey one to the side of it (right side).

Hope this helps.

Oh, also, test the LED BEFORE u put it in the housing, because trying to 'remove' the connector with an LED sometimes causing the LED to get stuck in the actual lightbulb plastic housing, and therefore, you're spending 20 minutes with tweezers getting the w4nkers back out.

Got a massive favour to ask anyone who's changed their DRL bulbs... Could you upload an image of the connector of the bulb, or confirm if these would fit:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2x-P13W-P...983588?hash=item236bd51b24:g:~mQAAOSwmtJXY6t1

Can't see any reason why they wouldn't, and these seem a damn sight easier to source.

Cheers!
I haven't looked, but i'll bet my bottom dollar it wont fit. Because in short, the DRLs are down to their legth, width etc, to fit through the hole, I've had countless people on facebook groups PMing me about Ebay/Amazon LED's that FIT the connector, but are either too big, too fat or too long to fit into the DRL hole.

Buy at your own risk, if it fits, (In the DRL hole, im sure the connector will work) then we have a nice cheaper alternative!

Thanks for the info Manders. I've just ordered my DRL's from that weird website you linked to. Just hope I put my address in the right bits lol.
Don't think I'll bother with the rest but the DRL's are a must.

Ah forgot to mention, I use Google Chrome which has an auto translate feature built in so it reads in somewhat broken English for me lol!

You're welcome btw. DRLs are deffo a must, rest are more for well... Me just wanting to change things lol! (In all honesty the map lights to make a big difference in the dark, got out my car at 1am the other night looked back at her and it was very well lit up!)
