Removing the fuse could be stupid though?

LED's only work a 'certain way' in the hubs, how you gonna know which way it's working? Might be long winded.

But I suppose, if it's the longest way and saves you needing a fuse, could be best !
Not as long as waiting for the postman to bring me a fuse :D

Tell me about it! So might be the easiest way to just remove the fuse before going... Or disconnect the battery - think both would work.

With a UK fuse supplier on the OP might be quicker than waiting from the states ;)!

Driving home tonight I got to see how good the LED map lights look in the car when first opening the door. They went off as normal when I started the car. I then thought I would put them on while I was driving just to have another look at how good they were and nothing. It wasn't until I turned the car off and opened the door that they came back on and I could then also switch them on and off. I thought these were meant to be map lights lol

EDIT: Found this thread http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1324945&highlight=Map+lights#post1324945 after a little searching, so I am hoping the popped fuse I have is the culprit and will return the function of the map lights back to normal

Hey All,

As there's been plenty of questions as to what Bulbs are required where within the car, and what fit etc, below i'll list my lights that i've used within my car and all fit.

What will be required is:
2x P13W (Only on the link provided, haven't found elsewhere other than Konik in the AUS) for DRL
6x T10 - 2x Maplights, 1x Boot Light, 1x Glovebox light, 2x Reversing light. These will all have to be 3 LED, however the reversing light can be 6 LED.
2x T10 Canbus free must be 6LED, 10 LED is too big - Sidelights

And to fit:
Tweezers for interior lights
Flathead screwdriver (Very small) for interior lights.
Screwdriver Cross head
Lube/Vaseline for the Sidelights/DRL
Possibly a file (sidelight/DRL can be a bit tough to fit back in)

List of the lights:
Exterior DRL (pack of 2) P13W Bulbs: -

Interior Map lights, Trunk Light Glove Box (4 req't) T10 bulb-

For the Trunk Lights BEFORE removing the actual light bulb, remove the housing from the connector.

(Can buy a set of 10 to have spares, as will need 2 more for the reversing lights!) - NOTE THESE WONT FIT THE SIDELIGHTS.

If you do blow the fuse you will need a 10AMP micro Mini 2 red fuse. Which is here:
(ALT/MICRO2-10 10A FUSE)

Switchback (Europe) for full sidelight/indicator to be LED:

(Thanks @UNtamed67 )

Hope this helps you all when planning your LED mods!
Thanks for this

This is a great guide to what we need to convert to LEDs
Two questions,
Is this still the latest and best list for bulbs and suppliers?
Why would I need spare fuses? What is that I need to avoid to prevent the fuse blowing?

Best suppliers/Bulbs? probably not, there's some ebay cheapo's in there, but even buying 10 of them comes out cheaper than a set of diode dynamics. I'm still yet to have a single bulb fail on me. You're free to use whichever bulbs you see fit, however the list is mine; i've noted the sizes of the bulbs as well if you want to ebay the,.

Spare fuses is for the boot, you wont need them if you do the boot properly (remove connector and then bulb), but if like me and a few others, you do blow the fuse, that sites somewhere to get them (They're hard to find in the UK).

Glad you find the list useful !

Caps matey!

The names of the bulbs are in the links, as long as theyre thise youre fine. Most are the same. Aim for 6000k output (pure white) rather than 4200k (that beamer blueish white colour their headlights have) if going for white leds.

For the tiny t5's make sure they have a cao on them, as it means displacement is solid around the lights.

Regarding switch backs no. I have dd drls on my car so will be a different ball game to get them fitted i think, will see if anyone whos bought them doesnt bother fitting and will tske them off them for a little test.

The resistor won't get any hotter than a normal indicator bulb as that is what it is there to replicate. this would only happen if you left the car, say, with it's hazards flashing. Bolting them to a metal surface would easily dissipate any heat.
