You do realize the car comes with 435hp at the crank from the factory, don't you? :headbonk::lol::lol::lol:
Yes Sam, I was trolling. But seriously if you are looking for strait power skip the cat back, put on a set of headers with the stock (catback) Leave the stock intake on or do a JLT/steeda. And do a Lund tune, they offer much more support for future mods and if E85 is available in your area they offer a extremely convenient flexfuel e85 tune. It is a no brainer especially if you don't have a reputable S550 tuner in your area.

Dynos are funny. You might crack 400 with your mods. I hit 402 with a CAI and a 93 Lund tune. Its best to get a stock baseline to see what your mods are doing before you.
I should've done a baseline while I could but I'm not too worried about it. In a couple of weeks I'll be getting my car dyno'd and am hoping for similar numbers as you (PMAS and same tune).

Bama is the first tune ppl get when they are new to modding and see it all over American Muscle's website. Then they come here when the car starts having problems and everyone informs them that it's the shitty bama tune. Common cycle. Some ppl don't have problems though
Nailed it.:clap2:

It all depends if your car is maxed out from the factory or not. There are cars out there with zero modes putting above 390 whp. If you are one of those, then you will be above 400 whp with just a tune and intake! But on the down side you will be getting only 10 ish whp gain vs other cars seeing this magical 20 to 30 whp gain with tune and intake. Thats with a Lund or AED tune ofcourse not Bama. Every engine is different, i know it shouldn't be but its the way it is!

As 1320 said. Go visit Shaun @ AED and never look back. One of the best tuners in the business. Get a different CAI, too. PMAS and Steeda are the 2 best.

Depends on the dyno. I've seen these cars dyno as low as 350whp stock on a mustang dyno and as high as 400whp on a dyno dynamics.

I had my Challenger on a Mustang dyno once..it was heartbreaking because they simulate load and resistance. It still put down 330 WHP which is okay given the 372 crank rating..but still..yeah, depends on the dyno.

It you put down big numbers on a Mustang dyno, pay attention.

How does the JLT CAI compare to PMAS and Steeda? All tuned. I've seen the PMAS non-tuned version gives good gains, but I wonder if all CAIs perform similarly when tuned.

This on so many levels. Dyno's are tools. They all read different based on how they are setup and type of dyno. Best thing you can do is get a baseline then after install. Best also to stick with the same dyno once you get your baseline so you can measure gains.

Sure its fun to say you have 500whp but at the end of the day its all about speed and how fast you get around/down the track.

When I used to own a 02 Z06, stock, I got called out by a kid in a 12 mustang 5.0. He did okay, he got me out of the hole every time and I'd pass him in third gear. He came back a few weeks later with a CAI and a BAMA tune, I swear his car was slower, by quite a bit.

When my car only had an SCT x4 I made 403whp on their strategy tune on 93.
That was on a dynojet of course.

Flow wise, it flows less than the PMAS and Steeda.
