S550 fitment

Hi I'm looking to get a square set that's flush as possible with a full size tyre, atm I'm looking at 9.5x19 +25 and would like to run 275/40 all round, would this fit? Will lower it by about an inch also. Am new to mustang had a ve commodore (pontiac g8) previously and took abit of trial and error to get the fitment I wanted and would like to avoid mistakes along the way this time, thanks for any input

That'll definitely fit stock height but not sure after lowering it, my guess would still be a yes though

You'll have some poke in the rear (19x9.5 +32 is pretty darn near perfectly flush imo). Can probably be mitigated with some camber but unsure what your comfort level is with that. Pretty sure there's no issues with dropping it an inch on that stock rear PP1 size.

It appears you're buying wheels based off the offsets, so I'd say go wider personally - 19x10 +35/40 and 285/35 all around. Tires are a little shorter and that's a pretty common combo, so very unlikely to have issues with lowering.

How bad do the 275s tramline. My eb hhp. With the stock size iirc 265,40,19 are bad on some roads

I personally don’t ever feel like I tramline even with 305s up front.

Edit: I have more of an issue with bumpsteer but I’ve got a fix for that lol

Tramlining can also be a matter of grip. The better the tire, the more grip the more it wants to pull along the imperfections in the road. G-Trac style braces can help by reducing the "slop" of the front end thus making the tires behave more rather than "pulling on the leash" so to speak.


@rxryanm what are your wheel dimensions that allow a 305 up front? I'm definitely headed in that direction. I want a square set-up so I can properly rotate but I will be needing more tire when the s/c gets put on.

19x10.5 +45 square. 305/30. I’m on air suspension for now, so I’m confident I can run a smaller spacer as the strut is smaller in diameter. Camber only at -1.5.

I’m gonna swap out to a static setup with some Steeda ultralite springs and will have to run a more substantial spacer and closer to -2 camber.

Thanks for the input so far so from what I'm gathering is there's no way to get a truly rotatable setup without running a spacer? There's about a 5 - 7 mm difference between front and back, so a F 9.5+25 / R 9.5+32 or a F 10+35 / R 10+40 be the way to go to run a full size tyre and have a nice 'even' arch gap front to back?

And yea mate found a set that a like for a pretty decent price which came in those offsets only but if it ain't gonna fit right then not worth it want it done right first time, thanks for input
