Hello there, this is my first time here on this forum but I'll try to get to the point. I have the opportunity to buy a set of 19x9.5 et22 unused wheels to replace my stock 18s on my 2017 GT. I will most likely be fitting them with 285/35/r19 rubber. I believe this will fit the s550 good but I couldn't find much on a setup like this so I just wanted to know if anyone could verify.

Hi Ruby, not sure about the 22mm offset (are they 22mm offset? If so I don’t think it’s enough) for 9.5s but I do think 285’s might be a hair wide for your wheels but it depends on the tires. Not all 285s are equal. Which tires are you looking at?

I found the following about the PP wheels on the American Muscle site. They are 52mm offset.
  • Ford Performance Pack Styling
  • Contemporary Multi-Spoke Design
  • Protective Matte Black Finish
  • Durable One-Piece Aluminum Construction
  • 19x9.5 - Front or Rear
  • 5x4.5" Bolt Pattern
  • +52.5mm Offset and 186mm Backspacing
  • Fit 2015-2020 GT, EcoBoost and V6 Mustangs

I have 275s in front mounted on 10” wheels. 42mm offset. I am not running spacers.

What you should do is see how much room you have between your suspension and the tires, determine the difference in offset between the old wheels and new, and calculate how much closer the new ones will be including increased wheel diameter and the tire sidewall width.

ET22 offset will poke out in the rear for sure and probably slightly in front. For a square setup for that wheel width an offset of ET30-35 is what you want.
