those plates are only camber no caster adjust on them ?

I'd be tempted to stump up the extra tenner for the BMR ones that are double adjustable. having said that the pedders ones actually look really well made

Or.. swap right for left and get camber and caster adjustment?

Great review of the Steeda Tri-Ax, you won't be disappointed & be on the look out for some great savings!

I recently purchased, and had installed the new Steeda Race Short Throw Shifter for my 2016 Mustang GT PP. First off, I had several questions that were answered by TJ at Steeda in a timely manner, and packaging was good enough to throw the box off a bridge and everything would've been fine. So far, so good. Shifter materials; all the pieces looked very well constructed, you can really see the quality materials used to make this shifter. No junk. Installation; I was told by the mechanic at the Ford dealership (that I'm in good with), that the installation went on without a hitch or any unpleasant surprises. He remarked that he installed several shifters over the years, and that this Steeda Tri Ax looked very well built and all the parts fit perfectly into the car. No dropping the transmission for installation. My driving impressions; The gearshift knob is at a lower height than stock as advertised. To me, it's very comfortable. I can rest my arm on the center console and shift just fine. Deflection; non existant, a substantial improvement over the stock shifter. This was noticeable immediately. Shifting through the gears; throws are VERY short, smoother, but not sloppy. Solid, but not notchy. Didn't notice any "walking" or noise while getting on it. (For what I could driving it at 21degrees). Shifts are effortless, you know what gear you're in, and it's easier to get there. The chances of a "miss shift" are all but eliminated. My comparison is to the stock shifter that came with the car from factory. While I'm not knocking the stock shifter, I can easily say the Tri Ax is far above and beyond better than stock. I would definitely recommend this shifter to anyone looking to upgrade. Knowing what I know now, I'd DEFINITELY buy one again without hesitation.
Best Regards,

TJ

Also, would the BMR ones work with the Pedders XA kit?? We must be mindful of the fact that the Pedders top mount incorporates the upper spring seat, and then the Pedders top mounts give you a new seat.

wouldn't know since they're open mounts on the bmr kit I would assume you'd have to pull the spring seat from the pedders fixed mounts and use that against the bmr top mounts.

OK guys, I have now designed the kit to fit the Pedders to the Steeda rear mounts. I may turn up a "prototype set tomorrow just to check and get you some pics.

I would like to know something.. would you like these made from Ali, or Stainless steel?
Aluminium will be perfectly adequate, but there may be a preference for bling??

If it's in contact with the car through any conductive path, I'd say stainless to avoid 'sacrificial anode' corrosion.

Don't forget a grease nipple for the old boys ;)

Of course I may be talking bollocks.

yeah i'd think stainless may be better with the salt on our roads alu does pit in salt would be worried its durability over time wouldn't be the same also it'd be touching stainless so may as well go like for like

The Ali/Steel combination makes no odds whatsoever. If one looks at the Ali/Steel combinations on the car from Factory, one will realise that there is nothing to worry about.

Just take the rear shock are.. Ali lower arm bolted to steel shock mount bracket, with steel bolts. Ali upper mount bolted to steel body frame, with steel bolts.

Salt on the roads should not be a concern as these are for track use only, as are most aftermarket goodies if one reads the small print.

As far as salt and corrosion are concerned.. I'd be more concerned about the spring seats, adjusters and ali top mounts on the Pedders.

Just my 2p

Pics of the parts fitted!!

Here you go guys and gals.. Pedders fitted to Steeda top mounts.

Steeda Pedders.webp

Notice how the shock sits higher up in the Steeda top mount, giving a longer bump stroke on seriously lowered cars and also getting good thread engagement with plenty exposed at the top.

With the mount tipped over we can see we have plenty of clearance for angular changes during suspension movements and we can clearly see we have plenty of room to get to the adjuster.

If you would like a set of these please let me know within the week as I will be getting them made by a supplier rather than making them myself.

Me too....

Also on the topic of coilovers.

Tegiwa didn't manage to fix the clunks and such. I think the fronts are my wheels having slightly come out of alignment and therefore catching.

The rears i honestly can't find a fault. Gloucesternige i've got a couple of videos i can send you on FB and worth seeing if you cna see anything wrong with them? Everything torqued down, i quadrouple checked!

My only other thinking is maybe over bumps the exhaust is bouncing and catching either the rear sway(?)/ARB's holders or the drive shaft, i inspected both and couldn't see any metla on metal contact.

I'm kind of at a loss, and without having an expert in the car to have a diagnostic, i'm not sure what to suggest to myself.

Also for what it's worth, i torqued the front strut bolts back down, about 9/10ths of a turn needed (and loctited them) so maybe that'll solve the front i don't know.

I also retorqued my wheel nuts back down just to be on the safe side before i started (as i wanted to see if they've come loose) they about 1/100th of a turn loose which, in the grand scheme of things is fuck all.

Only time i could replicate a similar noise was taking handbrake off (all 4 wheels were off the ground before someone has a seizure at me for doing that lol) and spin rear wheels forward then try to lock back,or putting the car in first and shaking the wheel forwards and back making the metalic clunk noise. But; that doesn't explain why over bumps the shocks and it's only in the rears, aren't "eating" a bump and instead you hear them depress and just make a donk noise :/

Hi Nige
Can you tell me what we are getting when we place an order will it be a insert into the Steeda mounts to fit Pedders and as hinch has asked what Steeda mounts do we need to order.
