S550 Active Muffler in S197?

I am considering a custom muffler project for my ‘13 Boss LS. I already have the ‘13-‘14 GT500 quads in place but am considering the active option to further control sound.

Seeing the technology has made it a wireless option and other groups are making the actuators, I am curious if someone could help me with measurements

I am seeking the length x width x height of the S550 active exhaust muffler for a GT or GT350. Any help would be greatly appreciated. If someone has an active muffler laying around it should only take a few minutes.

I’ll try to remember to measure mine this afternoon for you. My stock mufflers are on the car but should be easy enough to measure laying on the ground.

As an FYI, the GT350 is a little different as the exhaust tips are actually a part of the rear valence. They have “tip” that sit inside of the valance, but if you’re going to use a stock GT350 exhaust, you will need to use the valance (not sure it will fit on an S197) or weld some actual tips on it.

OEM GT active mufflers are 2.5" inlet aluminized steel with welded on tips. GT500/Mach 1 are similar but have significantly expanded and lowered tips. Aftermarket mufflers are either 409 stainless steel or 304 stainless steel and have several options for shapes and tips. Attached are some images of the OEM 2022 GT active right side muffler compared to a Corsa Extreme 304 stainless steel muffler with clamp on tips.
