RUST!!!!!!

Hey guys just thought I’d let everyone know who has a 2018 and up GT to check the seams and underside of your bonnets for rust starting to come through.
I have a 2020 model GT and I noticed on the edge of the bonnet about halfway down the front left guard that it was bubbling a little. When I popped the bonnet it was slaps bubbling a bit on the underside supports.
I’ve since had the bonnet replaced by Ford under warranty.
I mentioned it to my friend, who has a 2019 GT, and lucky I did cos he also found rust in the front edge near the lights and the back edge near the windscreen.
Best check your bonnets so it can be done in warranty!!

thats aluminum corrosion and its a well known problem going back to like 2011. it sucks, but it should be covered under your body/corrosion warranty

Strange location. Doesn't look like a spot where water would naturally sit so must be a manufacturing issue. Definitely warrantable.
If my car ever arrives I will definitely check it out.

that is garden variety oxidization of the aluminum.
