Hey guys,

I was planning on removing my resonator and mufflers from my car. I ordered a new axle back but it's backordered for up to 2 months.

So my question is will I be fine running the car without a resonator and muffle? Essentially I will have the headers and the 3" (goes down to 2.5" at the end) MAK mid pipes that lead into the resonator.

Has anyone ran just the. headers/midpipe? I'm told it would be loud but I won't be daily driven the car so that won't necessarily be an issue for me. Just don't want the heat coming from the end of the mid pipe to mess something up down there.

Personally I would put some turn downs on it.

That's what I was wondering is if I should atleast add some piping to route the exhaust out/down.

Go to any auto parts store and get some 45 degree turn downs. I think you would be OK with leaving it straight, but I wouldn't.

It will be fine I think as long as the exhaust isnt heating anything up too much, ive had cutouts on a few cars but all were kind of angled down and away from anything under the car. Some guys do this for max weight reduction at the track

Loud is an understatement. Prepare to be hated by every person you come across.
