Figured I'de open the forum up to different ideas. Im considering running a VTA (vent to atmosphere) style setup for my PCV system. anyone do it yet? just going to run a hose on my mishimoto catch can to vent to the ground. anyone see any issues with this setup? complete eliminate any oil/vapors going through the intake and simplify the system. This should also in theory be the easiest fix for smoking. Any Input?

I have the UPR dual inlet breather can. Takes both sides of the PCV system, filters it through the catch can, and then vents the pressure out. It works as advertised and no oil goes back into my intake tract at all.

I already have a catch can so don't want to sell then buy a $200 can with hoses. building my own system is more rewarding to me and I tend to delete everything that I can and reduce weight here and there. wasn't sure if the 2.3 had spring type main front and rear seals. plus any catch can could run this way without needing to splice in a check valve or re routing things
