Yes, but I believe they have pulled that article and that it was likely based off of other incorrect information/misinformation.Has anyone mentioned Road & Track claims an insider told them the Mustang GT Premium will gain 250 lbs, the Mustang GT Base will gain 170 lbs, and the Ecoboost & V6 versions will gain 50-70 lbs?
hahaha. We can all tell our kids about it somedayI hereby dub this scandal weight-gate
No, they claim a different insider said Steeda and Autoblog are wrong and gave them specifics. The article is still up, I created a new thread about it, since Steeda knowingly spread false information.Yes, but I believe they have pulled that article and that it was likely based off of other incorrect information/misinformation.
The media is not Ford. If you believed media rumors and feel misled, you have no one to blame but yourself (and the media). Not Ford.

This 2-300 lb. reduction "rumor" was first spread on svtperformance. Why then, if it WASN'T TRUE, wouldn't someone have set SID straight, a v-e-r-y l-o-n-g time ago?!?The media is not Ford. Oh shit, fellow Autoblogger. No offense sir, but as everyone has said, y'all should have said that right from the get-go. Would have saved everyone a lot of grief.
Hey I won't disagree with you that I wish Ford had a better forum presence. We could use our own "fbodfather" for the Mustang but Ford seems like they want to stick to business and just have service-related help on the forums which is better than nothing. I still don't think you can blame them for not wanting to get involved with dispelling every unfounded rumor on the internet. That could be a full time job on its own. When wild azz "rumors" arose/arise regarding Camaros, someone "handled" as "fbodfather" generally makes an appearance and resets the clock. Why no such effort from Ford? Social media only works when they want it to? It works EVERY DAY. For, and now against.
Pizz poor "PR", at the very least, from/for Ford.
...the record store can fix your Turntable because its stuck on the same track.
Anyways like I said the 2016 Camaro MSRP will probably be Outrageous even with the "supposed Weight loss and New Engine" if they follow any of the other vehicles they have.

Thought the rumor stared strait out of Pericak's Mouth back in 2010 during the interview with autoline. Would it still be consider a rumor since it came directly form the chief himself? This 2-300 lb. reduction "rumor" was first spread on svtperformance.
