Strange topic, I realize, but I have to ask. After noticing that my '15 GT (blend date of 10/28) doesn't have a rubber seal/gasket between the windshield edge and the metal, I've checked a few Mustangs at the dealer and looked at high-res photos of '15 Mustangs online and they all also seem to NOT have this rubber gasket around the front windshield. This is the only car I've ever noticed without one. I'd think it's important to protect the edge of tempered glass as even a slight impact on the edge can start a crack, So, question to the forum members: is everyone's car like this and it is how it should be? Do earlier MY Mustangs also not have the gasket?

All of them do NOT have the weatherstripping around the windshield. This is normal and the way it is supposed to be.

I believe that this is new for 2015. I just checked out some pictures of 2014 Mustangs, and they appear to have the weatherstripping.

Thanks for the replies guys. I talked with a service advisor today and he said it's supposed to be that way. Not sure I completely believe him but he did seem to know what he was talking about.

By the way, The windshield is NOT tempered. It is laminated. Only the side and back glass is tempered. A tempered windshield would not be good!!!! :-(

I noticed that on the first 2015 I saw at Mustang Week in Myrtle Beach. I think it's a change to reduce wind noise. Also may be a cost savings measure.

I wish it had a weatherstrip around it. I see a future of rock chips on the front edge of the roof!
