I was wondering if there is an upgrade path from the roush Supercharger?

I have a 2019 Roush Supercharged Mustang GT. Is it possible to switch to a Whipple or VMP Odin or Edelbrock by just purchasing the head unit and the intercooler? Or does it require a removal of roush and replacement to a new system?

I’m confused…. Are you wanting to upgrade parts and use the Roush or just upgrade to another company and SC all together?

Everything that I read says that the intercooler and the blower are not efficient. I don’t want to pay $10,000 for a different supercharger kit. Can I just replace those two items for a different model? Odin? Edelbrock?

Just take the entire kit off and install the new kit for what ever brand you choose. You can then sell the Roush as an entire kit and recoup some of the money you spent on the new one.

What is your ultimate goal here? The Roush kit may not be the most efficient or most powerful, but you can still make a lot of power out of it. Look into aftermarket tunes, smaller pulley, fuel upgrades, Roush cooling upgrade, etc... Unless you've already done all that and have a built motor, I wouldn't swap to a new kit at this point.

The compressor is still a 2650 rotor pack. Pulley the thing down a little, and run E75+. The Roush 2650 will run with a Whipple neck to neck until about 14psi.

You can also do the head cooling mod from MMR and a trunk mounted ice tank. Those 2 items will help with what you’ve got and they stay with the car if you eventually do switch to a different brand of supercharger.

I would just upgrade what you have. Perhaps larger injectors, fuel system, smaller pulley, and some cooling mods. Send me a message if you have any questions. We can get your car hauling ass with the Roush kit you already have. www.lethalperformance.com

I read them and am happy with them. I already have a 2.8 pulley waiting to go on. I have a VMP dual fan exchanger and a BAP installed. Just need headers and tune. I’ll stick with Roush. Even with the heat exchanger there is a 40 degree difference between IAT 1 and 2 temps.

I wouldn't pulley down without running E85...

I’m afraid to say, we will be seeing a blown motor thread here soon
