As title states, what is your IAT showing on your display?

I watch mine and its usually around 90 to 110 while driving on the highway but if sitting in traffic I have noticed it go as high as 140. Is that normal?

I am driving in the same area as you. Mine is not the "Roush" kit, per say, but it is the VMP Gen 2 version tuned by Ken@Lund.

The IATs I have displayed on my dash are the IAT2 (post blower, "charge temps")

Mine do not behave like that, so I'm assuming you may be seeing the IAT1 (in the MAF, PRE blower) temps?

Mine are usually in the 107-112 range when cruising around. Idling in traffic, maybe 120ish. WOT top of gears, I have seen it go as high as 127ish.

The cluster display for IAT on a Roush SC application shows the temp from the MAF sensor, thus the air going into the airbox. They use a GT500 IAT sensor in the manifold, which is wired to the IMRC passenger side connector, with a pull up resistor that then reads IAT2 for the PCM calibration.

The VMP rewires the MAF temp wire and moves it post IC.

^Good info.

That is pretty much what I thought.

I really like having the IAT2/Post IC display on the dash, and on my NGauge, fwiw.

VMP has the new IAT kit on the website. I am tuned by Lund as well and he uses this on the Ngauge tune. I am not sure about Roush.

The IAT on the Roush kit is just inlet temp not "boost" temp.

Yes, I agree, its one of the most important features. Lethal also offers the pigtail kit.

One could read the IAT2 on a Roush with a volt meter, its just resistance, same table as the 08-14 GT500. Would be cool if Ngauge could read this with a simple pigtail and jumper connectors.

So far I have seen anywhere in the 85-120 range. 85-100 at night and 95-120 during the day.... BMR tech... is there a decent dyno around here besides coastal?

So since I have the IAT relocator from VMP, is it possible I hooked something up wrong? I pulled the plug out of the passenger side intake, installed the new one, left old IAT wiring unhooked, plugged in new one, and ran it around to the drivers side, put 1 end of the Y into the MAF, and the other end to the old wiring.

So my temps should now be showing me whats going on after the inter cooler right? If so, and I'm sitting around 120 regularly, but at idle showing 150 (this is in 95ish outside temps) is that normal?

Is there something I should check?

Thanks! :)

That may be possible.

Mine do not do that, but I also have the large Heat Exchange and Dual Fan upgrade.

If you are in traffic, and it hits 140+...I would not worry about, as long as it recovers quickly.

Yes, it usually recovers down to around 100 to 110 degrees while driving down the highway.

I think you are fine then.

I wouldn't worry about it.

Also, how long ago was it when you installed the VMP IAT Kit? Did you also have to swap out the sensor with the wiring kit?
