If I may, MikeD is pointing out the obvious that the OP is asking about ROUSH and only ROUSH. I think you are missing his point that every thread of ROUSH S/C threads always end up with Whipple guys blasting the thread. You would be one of those guys. I have been doing a lot of reading of old threads and that is my .02
The point is that I doubt the guy even knew about Whipples tuning ability. And that you Roush guys get your asses hurt when us whipple guys bring it up. I could have gone a lot farther in say how it is a poorly design in that you have to grind the horn on the block and timing cover but I didn't. I was focused on the tuning ability. Seriously lack of reading comprehension here.

But, OP, buy whatever you want. According to the Roush boys I don't know what I'm talking about. Most vendors will give you a serious discount so don't pay full MAP on the kit.

I was going to chime in earlier but I did not. Why because it did not bother me that much. But when I saw MikeD post I thought "Damn I was thinking the same thing" and decided to chime in. And I have been very nice about it. We are happy for you that you enjoy your Whipple but at what point do ya stop promoting in every thread. :headband: If the OP asked about Whipple Blowers then you could go to town in that thread. I think that you are missing the point all together and in a very nice way MikeD is saying you are not wanted in this thread. He can correct me if I am wrong. In other words read between the lines. Now go get into some boost with your Whipple and ride into the sunset. :amen: I hope I was not to harsh.

You read it correctly !! There are other threads on this forum (not S/C related) that have started to really annoy me where a few "crash" the thread with a bunch of comments that have zero to do with the topic & just bash others for their choices & blather on about how much better their <insert any mod here> is. It's like some sort of high school peeing contest ...........

Use some reading comprehension and look at my first post. Then realize that things spiral and get off topic. The better tuning is with Whipple hands down.

However, I see that you are pretty close to where I live and you have a Roush. I have a whipple... Let see who has better trap speeds.
Another point you & some of your cohorts just don't seem to get - I (and others here) don't really give a flip how much HP you are making, how well dialed in your tune is, how good you are @ the strip ya da, ya da - it's not why I modded my car or how I intend to use it. You can beat my times at the track any day with a 10 yr old kid pushing your car down the 1/4 mile, simply because I have no intention of ever running my car.

Besides, I learned a long time ago, when you're talking modded cars, someone always has a fatter wallet & is faster than you ;)

I could agree to some point. But, the guys are trying to help someone who may not know, or hasn't done enough research. With the question asked, it certainly sounded like the OP had not done much research on the topic yet therefore any info would be helpful.

While you might be happy, if a guy can have more power for technically less $$ per hp, then there is nothing wrong with others helping him. In the end, the OP has to make a decision what best suits his needs.

There has been every fact humanly possible that we beat Roush hands down in every category but the Roush name. Many just buy because of the name and what they think that means versus actual facts. Were not saying it's a bad system, it's just not as good as other choices out there.

For 80% of the customers, 550, 600, 650rwhp will all make those customers happy. But, when the customer ask what is best, what SC to choose, what are the good and bad about something, I see no problem people adding there opinion.

Again I'll show some pics the roush kit requires hack and grinding the block and front timing cover so the entire engine bay is covered in aluminum shavings see below

I see both sides here. Evo8904 really means no harm, he just wants to help.

I am sick to death of the bashing that goes on and I try my hardest not to get involved.

Evo8904 wasn't even rude and then comes the "fanboy" BS

I'm very glad you like you Roush, enjoy it and try to fight off the regret you obviously have.

To the OP, I wish you luck in your decision. I can only recommend that you do your homework and make your decision based on what work the best for YOU.

I know for me, it's hard to not be extremely happy with my setup and want to share and spread word for others to hear. It's only normal for someone who believes in something that strong to want to do so.

:frusty: Again :frusty: - if that is what the OP had asked, it would be a different story. I agree 100%, that throws the door open to opinions on all products. But what he asked was where to get the Roush unit installed, not which is best or makes the most HP or ............ get it ??

I'm very glad you like you Roush, enjoy it and try to fight off the regret you obviously have.
Zero regrets on my choice, like I said I could have installed anything I wanted. Don't be so presumptions to think you know me or how I feel about my selection of mods just because I didn't buy the same stuff you did.

Thanks jmeo! I wasn't bashing Roush. Just pointing out the competitive advantage that Whipple has with their tune. I believe that I stated somewhere how I wish that I had the whipple tune.

But, anytime that fanboy MikeD wants to line em up at the track, bring cash buddy. I would love to see want that phase 1 can do from my rear view.

Who the hell cares what you bought, I sure as hell don't. Talk about being presumptuous.

All you do it bitch about Whipple "fanboys" like a 6 year old trying to get another kid to get in your line and not somebody else's. Grow up son.

It is funny that these Whipple guys STILL do not understand that this thread TOPIC is NOT about Whipple. Its like yea you asked about Roush but F you were gonna tell you about Whipple. If it was every now and then I could/would understand but damnnnnnnnnn take a deep breath and understand that there are actually guys that are happy with their S/C choice. God please help the next newbie that asks a question about a Roush S/C.

What ever you say doc

Did you not read my post any further that the part you highlighted?

All "I" suggested was for him to do his homework and make HIS choice as far as kits go.

And I meant what I said, he was actually wanting to help so who cares wether he has a Whipple or a KB? It shouldn't matter but I guess your guilt haunts you as well. Get over yourself
