removing my 85mm stock size insert to go with the 105mm and load my custom tune. I notice the 2 t-15 that held the stock 85mm insert in place pierce the 105mm tube...is this normal? and do you simple screw those t-15 back in to plug holes? I was thinking of adding a dab of rtv to seal? thoughts please chime in as I currently have car apart. If this is not how the intake should be please advise and i'll reinstall 85mm until i can get a replacement

Duly Noted! My CAI arrives Tomorrow for me to install over the next few days.

Any advice on being able to get the Sound Tube off? I have seen some install videos stating it is a pain, but no one has provided much insight on how to get it off easier.

It is a pain but best method to do it is if you're have the STB remove it and use a ratcheting closed end wrench, on the bolt. Spend the next 30 minutes cursing that the bolt is hardly moving and bam! The fucker is finally off. I've done two now and it's a pain but easy honestly. I found having the coil cover off on the drivers side gives a little more room for fat hands like mine also.

Appreciate the information, that is the part of the install I am not looking forward to.
