Alton was able to get them off, it's what he currently has on the sides of his car ;) As I recall, he used fishing line to get underneath, but it was a PITA.
If you don't care about the covers, you can just cut them out with a dremel, then use the fishing line to separate the badge from the plastic. Other thought I had was to dremel slots along the top & bottom to make it easier to work the line along the bottom of the badges. Then there wouldn't be a hole in the center & you could just fill in the slots with black silicone caulk.
Yeah it really was a PITA, lol. I ended up using a plastic pry tool and I can't remember if I had tried fishing wire at the time. I just remember bending the living hell out of the badges and telling myself "I'm so screwed" because of it.ugh. I don't know what to do..... i want them to be perfect or not at all.. it's the one exterior bit that's all wrong and I don't want to give in sticking with the 5.0 badges. I want it to look correct.
I'd give it a shot
