what's the update on this? Roush conversion on my GT is starting, so I'd like to get the correct badges and such.

They never did re-release the new badging to the public. Dealers can't even get it unless they are fixing a customer car & they have to prove the old badging was destroyed or is unusable.

Ditto the Roush trunk panel.

Tried for months to get either & failed. One possible solution is to buy their coil covers & carefully remove the badge from the center. That gets you the 'candy bar' part, then you would need to find 1/2" brushed silver lettering for the "Roush" that goes underneath (not too hard to source that).

Tried getting an emblem as well with no success. Ended up buying their coil cover kit and taking the badges off of that. I wonder if they're going to stop selling the coil cover kits now because of people doing it, lulz! Ridiculous.

I just ordered the "ROUSH" letters from emblemart.com in Chrome and I got the size from someone who has a ROUSH decklid. Curious to see how these are going to look.

What's interesting is they used to sell the coil covers with the emblems just loose in the box & you had to attach them yourself. Then they started sticking them on. I almost went this route last fall when someone put the covers on sale for $125.

Then I decided to get the Coyote badges Nathan was selling here. But those were taking too long & I had to go another route. They finally came in are are great, very tempted to take off what I applied in Dec. but not sure I can get them off without tearing the crap out of my vinyl side strip :( May just put 1 on the grill & 1 on the rear deck & call it done !

I'll be interested in seeing what you do the the lettering. I looked at those too (in black) but wasn't sure how I'd get them spaced out & aligned properly & I know I'd obsess over it if they were even slightly off. Sort of hoping to run across a panel in a bone yard from a car that was wreaked in the front ;)

LOL. You and me both man! Hate to say it but it seems that it'd be the only way to get these super secret decklids from Roush. Gonna order them tomorrow or Monday (whenever I can) and hope all works out well, lol. I think it's going to be slightly off but it's all good. I'm sure I matched the exact font though.

When I tinkered with the idea I figured I'd yank off the panel (seems to be easy to pull off) & run 2 horizontal lines of wide painters tape across it with the correct letter height gap in the center. Then you could dry fit/play with the spacing till you got it right, mark the centers on the tape & apply the letters.

tried this. the badges are super soft and flimsy. just by trying to get the badges off they started to get all marred up.

So I won't be going that route. Oh well, I intended to get the coil covers anyway.

It's funny you mention that they're soft and flimsy, lol. There's another guy on the forum that did the Roush badges before me and I kept asking him if those badges are supposed to be that way. I ended up just taking a chance though and surprisingly they're still looking brand new and holding up really well. I was sure that a few car washes would soften them or something.

Unfortunately though, I did bend both badges just a little bit trying to get them off of the coil covers, but after that, they were good to go.

well they seemed like they were getting marred a bit on the sides and stuff.

the only other way I can think of doing it while keeping the badges perfect would be like actually cutting them free from the coil cover and then carefully separating them from the coil covers. it's the recess that they sit in that's screwing it up. I was trying to carefully do it with dental floss.

Yup. I sort of bent a small spot on both badges towards the bottom edge. Fortunately it's not noticeable anymore but I took them off with a plastic pry tool as opposed to using like fishing wire or something. Lol.

ugh. I don't know what to do..... i want them to be perfect or not at all.. it's the one exterior bit that's all wrong and I don't want to give in sticking with the 5.0 badges. I want it to look correct.

Alton was able to get them off, it's what he currently has on the sides of his car ;) As I recall, he used fishing line to get underneath, but it was a PITA.

If you don't care about the covers, you can just cut them out with a dremel, then use the fishing line to separate the badge from the plastic. Other thought I had was to dremel slots along the top & bottom to make it easier to work the line along the bottom of the badges. Then there wouldn't be a hole in the center & you could just fill in the slots with black silicone caulk.
