Would there be any benefit with just the headers and not the exhaust. The wife won't let me buy both at the same time.

Honestly go with the mufflers first since it's easier to spend $300 on headers vs $550 on mufflers

Was gonna derail Zack's CAI thread but decided to be a decent person and search for this thread.

Installed my Roush axleback today and i have been running the BBk headers for about two weeks.

Holly batman the combination of the headers and Roush is unbelievable. The sound is deep (never heard such a deep sound coming from a V6) and very clean. It crackles and pops a little bit on decel but i like it. It is loud but not obnoxiously loud. There is, however, a very slight drone at around 1500 RPM on acceleration and you are always aware that you have an aftermarket exhaust on, even at highway speeds. It doesn't mean that it bothers you ( not me at least) but you are aware that there is something different.

Overall, i love it. Will post video but i want to make a decent video ( Something like Russian did) with a go pro and everything.

Glad it turned out well now you know what I was referring to about knowing the exhaust is there .... Saving for headers now :cheers:

It is so sweet. So inlove with it.

On a side note, i did peak through the roush muffler before installing and there are no opening within the pipe to let air and sound expand through the resonator chamber of the muffler. It's just literally a straight pipe with the muffler around it.

I did the exact same thing it has like 6 very small holes that go to the external casing, I'm sure they can't change but so much. I'm trying to to get that deeper rumble kinda pop sound hopefully headers give that

I haven't heard the Roushs by themselves, but i can promise you it's as deep as it gets for our engine.

I put the roushes on first and they have a weird ricer sound and the headers totally change the tone to something that is actually enjoyable I love my setup
