ive posted about this before but ive noticed a few things that I wanted some thoughts on.
I've been getting this rotten egg/sulfer smell for at least a month now whenever I go WOT in higher gears. I know this is coming from the catalytic converter but I don't know if it's the converter itself or if it's another problem. The smell usually appears after long pulls in higher gears (3rd, 4th, 5th). I can rip it around town in 1st and 2nd gear and not smell a thing but the moment I get on it whenever I'm cruising on the freeway the smell returns. Car runs and drives fine and there are no lights at all.
Here are a few things that have happened over the past few months.
>New clutch system was put in (smell was present before and after this) just wear and tear on the old one due to normal use
> Cylinder 3 misfire, I put cheap autolite plugs in a year ago and it was only a matter of time before they crapped out, the car idles smoother now but again, the smell was present before and after the plug change
> idle afr bounces between 13.8-14.1 it's been like this for years but just thought I'd share, not sure what normal is. But I'm running a Ford Power Pack 2 kit with a 91 octane tune.
> O2 sensors inspected and cats inspected nothing abnormal going on from what I've been able to tell. Cats aren't overheating and don't rattle when smacked with a rubber mallet.
