Because saving money isn't the point. Lavishly spending money to future proof the motor is. We use expensive oils not to stretch oil-change intervals, but for the oil to be cleaner during the normal intervals.Not to sound snotty, but that's really a waste. Why don't you just do a Blackstone oil report? I do it for all my vehicles. Not only will it save money on changes, gives you heads up on potential problems, just saying.
Grumpy, cheap old-timers resolute in stretching a buck until it snaps are Blackstone's main customers.
