2018 base GT manual 2800 miles. Moving from NW Arkansas back to the Phoenix area 1250 miles. My longest trip so far is 100 miles driving home from the dealer. What mileage and fuel range should I expect?
Probably run around 80 mph. I did figure out how to use iHeart and Waze at the same time. Any thoughts? Hope my 67 year old ass holds up. Thanks

Get the blue painters tape from Home Depot or Lowe’s and tape your entire front bumper cover surface and about 1/4 of your hood and front fenders, plus door mirrors. It may look silly (who cares), but it will protect the body during the long travel time. You never know what you may run up against during long distance travel.

On my trip I had no problems locating fuel. I ran 87, 91 & 93 octane. A few times I had trouble getting 91 or 93 and had to run the 87...Only difference I saw was the MPGs took a slight hit. No ill effects on performance that I notice.

My 2019 GT manual did about 27 mpg, the faster the better gas mileage. The miles to empty will adjust as MPG changes you you drive, and the range will increase as MPG is updated. Interstates in Texas is 75, so you'll be able to drive 84.

I did a 1600ish mile trip over 3 days about a month ago and was averaging well over 400 miles per tank. At times i really wish i had the tank of my truck which was averaging around 650-700 a tank. (granted much larger tank) but would have been much easier to plan fuel stops when you had hundreds of miles between anything but corn fields.

No tune. 87 will work in a pinch.

Figure 210 miles per tank. You could get more, much more, BUT. it is easier to roll into a gas station with a 1/8th to 1/4 tank left and fill up, than have to go get gas or be towed to the station. I don't like rolling the dice, when road tripp'n as some areas, the next gas station might be 50+ miles , or in a questionable area. Play it safe. If at 1/3rd tank left after first stop, add 50 miles to the 210. (260).
