When I checked my 2020 CFTP GT500, it was about .5"/.75" higher in the front!!!. Is it just me, or does the front look higher than the rear?
It is not you. There are others here that have said the same thing and yes the front end does sit higher than the rear. I guess that is what Ford wants but myself and other members here have discussed this and this is why we have replaced he front springs on our base 500 with the CFTP springs which dropped the front about .5" and now it sits pretty much level.. Is it just me, or does the front look higher than the rear?
So you are saying that at speed the splitter is pulling the front end down? Makes sense if so.So I can speak from experience. It is for the downforce of the car on why it’s higher.![]()
your Gt4 wing is smaller than mine. You’ll be fine. And I have the rear dif as well. It’s like having the splitter but in the rear. I can still get over most thingsSo you are saying that at speed the splitter is pulling the front end down? Makes sense if so.
I'm more concerned about my rear ride height. It sits very low. I have a set of signature wheels that required larger offsets for caliper/spoke clearance and there is a slight degree of wheel poke. I don't know what the strut travel would be if a large bump was hit, but I could see the tire hitting the quarter panel. I need to look further into this. The other concern is the big ass GT4 wing pushing the rear end down even lower at speed.
Let me be clear, my aftermarket wheels poke out a bit. The clearance between the tire and quarter panel is minimal. Fast speeds create about 550 pounds of downforce. I can see that minimal clearance getting smaller.your Gt4 wing is smaller than mine. You’ll be fine. And I have the rear dif as well. It’s like having the splitter but in the rear.
