It's not going overseas, according to the window sticker information. It's "sold" to the Ford Product Development Center. It's likely for final testing.
The driver told me he was taking it to O`Hare Airport to be sent to Europe ..But maybe just BS. You would think they could have done a little better job of transporting it to the airport.

Christ! That's mine! Hang on! I went for a manual :D

I suspect it's a test mule as they are not supposed to start producing the RHDs until September.
Hope springs eternal.

And the panels seem to line up!

Look at the window sticker-- totally devoid of pricing information. Test car, show car etc....

right hand drive--just so wrong.

I guess it's possible it's heading to Ford UK. They had a LHD one at Dagenham recently. It was used to test out the transportation Ford uses (trucks/trains etc) to ensure it fitted! Apparently that one was going to be crushed as it was a pre-prod :(

So the sticker reads Automatic Transmission, GT Performance Package, but I have to ask... where are the center gauges, Oil Pressure and Vacuum. This car has the three vents. Makes you wonder what else they didn't include.

I actually really like that faux gas cap. I didn't want a 50th AAP one but I think I'll be buying one of those back panels once they come available.
Stay in touch mate and we'll do a swap when I get mine :D

The PP package for Europe would appear to be just the 19in wheels, bigger brakes, 3.55 diff, stiffer suspension.

No word on the strut brace. It maybe deleted thanks to pedestrian safety hence no hood vents.

The car in the picture also appears to have the ACC lower grill which is not an option in Europe and we certainly don't need the block heater in the UK.

So likely "sold to" Ford Product Development in MI and then off to be used as a test car in Europe (agree with TT about where it's going). Looking at the photo, it is a "TT" (tooling trial) car, so it's not someone's baby. No need to send it nicely but rather cheaply :( :)

Besides, I assume it's easier to test RHD in the UK than simulating here in the US. Twin Turbo - your chance to be a hero driver. Get on it, man!

Oh, I've dropped enough (un)subtle hints on UK Mustangs forums that I want a long term test :D

C'mon Ford, gis a job :ford:

Notice it's got the clear lenses, but window sticker says " sequential rear turn signals"

I wonder if we will get it back in Dagenham for more testing :)
