RHD 2015 Mustang Production

Yes finally , the pressure and emails I have been sending to Ford Australia have paid off.

I will volunteer to go over there and show those engineers how to drive the car on the right hand side because no one over there will know how to do it. Ok Ford, Dave ... if you are reading this....


Oh, and on a RHD the trunk is called "the Boot".

Can't tell from that picture what Ford has done about the centre console and placement of the hand brake and drink holders.

So far everything I've read suggests these items won't be moved for RHD which would be a real shame.

Are any other pics of that RHD 'vert?

Just My Opinion, but this thing looks like a Mess! First the White with the Black Wheels looks Generic, then the Clear Tail Lights with the White "Tubes" inside look like Florescent Lights. To make it worse there is the Amber Rear Side Markers and the Red CHMSL. It's just too much going on. Oh, not to mention the Reverse Sensors in the Bumper are Black/Not Painted.

Come on Tampa it's the prototype. Go easy on us we're as excited as you blokes to see some form of what we'll be getting, whatever that will be will have no where near as many options and accessories as you blokes. We won't even get any of the LE's.

And it's not fish and fries "FREEAGENT" , it's "Fish and Chips".

and its called right hand drive for a reason. Its the RIGHT side to drive on and not the wrong side.

as for the white vert, I hope they dont end up in the uk with those lights.they are terrible.

If not a factory made layout, who is responsible for the likes of the 110 or so 2002 SVT Cobras that were/are RHD? I'm genuinely curious.

Ford of Australia contracted with Tickford Vehicle Engineering to convert several hundred Mustangs to RHD for the local market in the early 2000s. The cars were shipped from the Dearborn factory with steering wheel on the left and converted in Australia.

Don't get me wrong, I think It's Awesome that it's RHD and being built for the UK, Because I'm going to eventually end up living in England at some point. So I'm glad I'll be able to get a Factory Built Mustang over there when that day comes. I also don't mind the White, but you've got to admit it's a bit boring with the All Black Interior and those All Black Wheels. Then all of those Little Specks of Color placed Haphazardly Around the car just make it look like they Cobbled It Together with Random Bits they had laying around. There's no continuity. I understand the Amber Rear Side Marker is Region Specific, but if (GOD I HOPE NOTfor Everyone's Sake) Those Hideous Clear and White Tail Lights are what they're going to put on the Car, at least make the CHMSL Lens Clear too. I also don't understand why they couldnt paint the Backup Sensors to match the Bumper like Every Other 2015 we've seen, instead of leaving them Black making them Stand Out Even More.

What it really all boils down to is My Utter Contempt and Disdain for those Horrible Clear Tail Lamps and Black Wheels. I just Hope something can be done about the Lights. The Wheels can be Changed.


As for the Fish and Chips, I've gotta say, having spent 7 weeks in England a couple of years ago, I've never had better Fish and Chips than the ones I had from the Chip Shop in Huntingdon. God I miss them and Sausage Rolls and Cheese & Onion Slices from Gregg's. I can't wait to get back.

Ford UK will fob us off and rename Guard.

I don't know why Ford haven't brought the car sooner. I also don't know if they realise what a hit it'll be. It's an icon to us that we've never had. In a way a bit like when the Fiat 500 appeared a few years ago. Of the reintroduction of the Mini in 2000. It obviously won't sell as well, but I still can't wait. White tail lights or not.

I live in the fish and chip capital of the UK, Whitby. I think I should go to the US and set up business.
