ok, recently the car has been acting strange. I've been tuned since february, and has been runnning good and strong, (i dont think its the tune). But out of the blue it started doing this. These are few different instances.

i can be driving in any gear and let off of the gas and instead off the rpms dying down it while cruise at a steady rpm with me giving no gas, for a while.

I'll be driving coming to a stop light or sign , throw it in netural and coast to a stop and the rpms will still be hung up at about 1500 rpm for about a good 7 seconds and then come back down.

If im parked and have it in neutral and rev it up, as it comes down itll get hung up anywhere from 1500-2500 rpm again for about 7 seconds then go back to ideal.

the worst its done it is when i put it in sport + and have a spirited drive. I'll come to a stop and the rpms well rev up to 2500. Driving regularly, come out of gear and hangs at 2500. go in gear and goes into the normal range and drives fine.

Driving is no problem it still runs like a champ hard and strong. Ive completely disconnect the battery for about 35 mintues. but still ends up going back the the revup thing after awhile. It also does this with stock tune. so is there any sensors that could be causing this? idle contol valve?

taking the car monday to ford to have my evap coil replaced, so ill have them check it out. just wanted to see if anyone had any ideas. thanks

My stock GT with no tunes hangs at about 1500 rpm's also if the vehicle is in motion when I put it in neutral to coast. Once I stop the RPMs drop. I assume The engine computer keeps the revs up to keep the brake vacuum strong until you're no longer in motion or something to that effect.

Mine doesnt do this. I do however hate the attempt at rev matching while upshifting when you're on it and get out of it (I'll often get on it in 2nd and then shift to 5th or 6th and the RPM will be sitting there at 5-6k for a bit).

Calling out OKC #1 spot after axle back install.
Sport mode keeps the rpms up, it should not be used to drive around town.
Keep the car on drive and end your worries.

I have had this issue on my auto in SPORT mode. Same thing with my 2014 5.0. Only in sport mode. High rev pattern as stated in the thread. :headbang:
