Hey Torrie,

Can you still run a lower octane while in a pinch with the performance 93 tune. Will the ECU retard timing to compensate for lower octane as with stock?

Timing can add and subtract on the fly that being said if you sometimes run 91 I can build a file you can use for that instead.

I only have 500miles and iam also struggling to wait. I wanted to wait and see what comes about in the next few months with turbo upgrades and intercoolers. I think I may just say screw it and start with a tune, down pipe, and water/meth kit.

After just having taken my 15 Ecoboost to the track last night... I am dying for a tune. Great write up. My issue is Mac related as well. I could partition and do a windows boot, but I would prefer to use a mac. I have my old partitioned hard drive around here somewhere with windows xp if thats supported.

Does the car crank up with the tune? (instead of toggling to it) Do you load the tune and then remove any hardware, as in is there any hardware left plugged in? The accessport looks cool but I have enough gauges and would prefer it to be hardware free after the tune is loaded.

Launch control? Flat foot shifting? My launches are currently terrible, and I notice the turbo having to respool on the shifts which hurts the soul when you are flying down the drag strip and seeing that big clock flash your ET.

Whats the process for flashing back to factory? Sorry if Im asking too many questions. I would hate to order it and get stuck with the windows problem etc and not be able to load it.

XP is supported.
Calibration is resident once it is flashed to the vehicle.
LC yes
FFS no but you can powershift your life away if you so desire.
Go to program / return to stock.

To solve any PC issues, I could purchase the iphone option (SCT iTSX) and be good to go sans computer? I can take these questions offline by sending via email if that's easier. New forum guy here. I appreciate the help

In the interest of keeping everyone informed. None on the tuners on the market right now need to be left plugged into the car after programming, Cobb included, people just leave it plugged in if they WANT to see the extra gauges.

Can't go wrong with any of the big players it seems. All of them see to have similar numbers.

This review helped me make my purchase, so plan on doing one myself in the near future. Thank you!

Well, this just sold me on a tune, this tune! This will be my first turbo car and my first tune! I'm waiting to take delivery (21 days to go) and my first purchase will be tint and tune. This looks perfect for me, I don't want to have to start swapping out exhaust, intercooler, or anything, I would like to keep everything else stock for now and just tune.
