I will be doing a track comparison between the Airaid and the JLT. So, you will know soon which is more effective. I have an FFTec intercooler inbound as well. I am confident that the car, as it sits, could probably run a 12.6 to 12.5, and it only has the tune, tires and Airaid. I ran a 12.8, but I exceeded the targeted boost and the TB was closed to 50% angle for roughly half of the pass.

Nice I have been watching your car as it has been progressing! I don't know how far I'll take this only time will tell but I'm thinking the turbo upgrade will not be that bad in price.

Pick up my base white 6 speed manual PP tomorrow. I can't wait to start modding. Looks like Unleashed tuning is where I'll be going. Thank you everybody for all the helpful feedback. I only have one question. Do these mods void any warranty work? Looking forward to doing buisness with you Torrie. Thanks Jim

They don't necessarily void your warranty unless the mod breaks the car. That being said, if the warranty is your top priority or you can't afford to replace a popped engine or trans if your warranty is denied, don't mod your car.

Pretty sure the tune will void the warranty if it is powertrain related and Ford has gotten pretty smart about checking to see if the computer has been flashed, back in the day you could return the car to stock and take it in for warranty work but with the latest software it is harder to do that.

Now....if you power window stops working having a tune will not stop them from fixing it....

Torrid, I think congrats are in order. You are responsible for some of the most butthurt people I have seen on the Internet. PDV's Viper is running amazing and I love watching his videos.

I have hand that directly to the driver. But yes Paul seems to be having a good time racing that car :)

After having the tune installed for a few days and driving in various environments, I have reached the following conclusions:

The tune really does unleash the engine the way it should come factory. The engine excels without having to push excessive gas into it. Daily driving allows the cabin to feel just as calm as stock, while always have a large band of power under the foot. My MPG have not suffered, except under performance driving. I feel safer on the highway being able to pull away from others, if unsafe driving it observed.

The torque can get excessive if the pedal is stomped, but it is controllable and I have been able to manage it well even in the cold rainy weather. Torrie provided a winter tune with it, but I have not tried it out yet. The results of his tune is extraordinary, not to mention the cost and customer service that come with his product. Recommend to all! Thank you!

Thanks Calvin, and what's also nice to know is there is more in it.

Update: I returned the car to stock this morning to take it in for service. The 20 minute drive in the stock car reminded me of just how great the car is with the Unleashed tune.

I'll have to find a quiet corner of the dealer lot so I can put the tune back on before driving it home.

If you haven't ordered a tune from Unleashed, you are missing out on a great experience all around.

Thank you again, Torrie!!!

Maybe a dumb question but...why revert back to stock tune for service? I probably would too just for my own paranoia. There has been a lot of silence from tuners on whether Ford can tell if the ECU has been re flashed or not. My uneducated guess is with today's sophisticated software Ford knows all! So for routine service why not leave tune on?
