how is the cost of a Mustang compare to a German car, say a BMW 435i?

Comparable prices to the mustang would be a BMW 320d msport or a Mercedes c220 Amg.

Those were the other two I considered at the time. But there was no competition!!

They'd be daft to put it up to 41K - that'd put it in the premium tax band from 2017 - £2000 first year tax + £450 a year for years 2-6 (rather than the £2000 first year + £140 year 2-onwards band it's in at the moment).

I would be surprised that Ford UK would have even worked out that there is such a huge interest in the GT that people would pay a lot more for it, as they seem oblivious to the car at the moment.

I agree with this post, more than the Dealer. I don't see how a jump of c£7k on the base model will ever happen...That's a huge jump!

Maybe he meant they'd be 41k for a fully specced all options V8 Auto Verte with Custom Pack (Only way it hits 41k!)

Rather big numbers for either of these. Mustang GT can be had much cheaper in the States. Do you know if BMW 435i can be had much cheaper in Germany? Makes me wonder how much of the price tag gets inflated by import duty, luxury tax, petrol tax, etc.

In any case, if you can get a good deal on a Mustang with Reverse sensors, might as well get them. But if you don't get them, and you scuff your bumper, you always go to Costco and buy some duct tape, and put that over the scuff :lol:
