The local place said theirs are only rears.. which is odd, given I can see no discernible difference between front and rear in the sensor itself. I guess they don't want my business.

I'll give Ford a call and see if there is any development in their kit; I've also seen an "invisible" system that uses a kinda of electrical tape, mounted on the inside of the bumper. I doubt it'd work as the Mustang bumper is quite busy (I've no idea what the inside looks like) but I may email and find out.
Beyond that, any recommendations for a camera? I'm not sure how that'd work though!

Theres already a company in the US (or was it AUS?) thatll sell you a complete forward facing camera solution that works with SYNC 2.0

Sorry, I dont have the link, but Google should turn it up. Ive definitely seen it (and pondered it) before.

I was just Googlininining front camera/rearview mirror combos - plenty of those about. So, thanks, I'll investigate this!

Please keep us posted I am looking at the same issue, KentMustang (Haynes Ford) will do the front sensors for ÂŁ429 including VAT and fitting (one days work). I will get them to do mine if I cant get a better option, but I would like the camera option through Sync 3 if that's possible........

never bothered me, never had them with the S197 and not fussed about this car
fairy easy to judge i find. and i hardly even reverse in anyway, usually at shows and that's it
maybe it's easier to judge cause of the hood vents?

Perhaps; I've not found anything useful so far. The Ford system may be the only route. I'm just not keen on scrapping the valance.
