If anyone has already had Ford's own-brand front parking sensors fitted, I'd really appreciate seeing some pics - especially of the interior switch (and also hearing how it's been working out for owners). Is it a good idea?

I just don't like that it's an after thought. They are separate from the rear sensors and I don't know why it's like this!
They're clearly not satisfactory, but better than nothing - or at least I'd like to hear if any early adopter here still thinks they're worth having...

Try on the Euro thread. I know some people have them there. Not sure if they'd be from the same supplier mind you.

My dealer has not recommended the Ford Front sensors when I asked about having them fitted before delivery. He did say that they use someone else that fits sensors for them that are better & are speed sensitive. I haven't got any more information than this yet as my car is not due to them for another few weeks but did say they would be the same price.

We had the dealer fit parking sensors on our first Kuga (like the Mustang, rears were factory). They were rubbish - kept triggering at random (like, every time a motorbike overtook you in traffic, or when it rained, or a bird flew past in the distance), had a nasty extra button to turn the buggers on and didn't activate when reverse gear was engaged...

Two years later, the 2nd Kuga had factory front + rear. Totally different, and worked perfectly.

I wish Americans didn't assume the rest of the world just kept moving until they hit something... (car parks over here are hilarious - they've all got this extra kerb a foot out from the real kerb/wall for the Americans to bounce their cars off when they park)

Before I got the car, I was thinking I'd get these fitted. Having driven the car for 3 months, I really don't think they're necessary. If it was an integrated interface out of factory I'd have them. The aftermarket control doesn't look great and it's something you can easily live without. Save the money for other Mods.
