I find it odd how the rears are less expensive than the fronts. Whatever.

I wonder how a square setup would workout?Sorry guys can't go out, the only manufacturer of tires that fits my car are on back-order for 6 months. :ford:
I like them but only hobby race and never competed on a course, they work great at the drag strip. It would be nice to see more 19" sizes in the NT01.I thought about running NT05 s for autocross because of cost and actual tires that fit correctly but reviews seem only average.
That's So you can exercise your right foot with slightly less guiltI find it odd how the rears are less expensive than the fronts. Whatever.
Likely anticipating more volume on the rears :cheers:I find it odd how the rears are less expensive than the fronts. Whatever.
Not if your GT350 is going to see daily driver duty year round. An all season and winter tire option would be nice.In all honesty, if you're considering any other road tire other than the two Michelins the cars already come with, you're going to be disappointed...
They are without a doubt THE best street tires money can buy and if you can afford a $50K+ car, you shouldn't have any issues buying tires for it.
Out of curiosity, what size tires are you thinking about that are more plentiful and/or cheaper? My brief search didn't yield much better choices. All I hope is that someone gets an 18" wheel over those big ol' brakes. The more and more I think about it, the more and more I want to go with 18's. And all because of tires.
Totally this. Actually we should start a thread specifically for winter tires. No way I want to put the car in storage for four months after paying bloody adm.Not if your GT350 is going to see daily driver duty year round. An all season and winter tire option would be nice.
Well I have been eyeing R888's and doing 305/35-18, 335/30-18. But if that doesn't work then I might look a R-S3's or RE-11's. Both have 305/35-19 options so I'd just square off. Or hopefully RE-71R's have widened out by then.Out of curiosity, what size tires are you thinking about that are more plentiful and/or cheaper? My brief search didn't yield much better choices.
OK, I saw the R888, but RS3 didn't have an 18" size, but you mentioned 19" for those.Well I have been eyeing R888's and doing 305/35-18, 335/30-18. Regardless of 18 or 19, matching the widths to a reasonable tire wall is proving to be a serious challenge. I just kinda went through all options tonight in a preliminary thinking mode, if you will, and it seems more practical to use the 305/35-19 offerings in all 4 corners. But if you do that and say you get 11" wheels all around, you're kinda stuck now and the best you can do for widths are probably 305 front 315 back. But that's really really nit picking. Compound will trump 10 mm of width any day.OK, I saw the R888, but RS3 didn't have an 18" size, but you mentioned 19" for those.
I had looked at RE71s for my FRS (225/40/18) but they were heavier, 25 lbs vs. 20-21 lbs in the size I was looking at than comparable Michelin, Conti, and Goodyears I was shopping. The weight discrepancy doesn't seem to be as high in the larger sizes.
