They spent 2 weeks looking and couldn't find the same spec car I guess.

You mean all the ones they looked at had straight panels and no dents:doh::doh:

If you are happy holding out for your exact spec or 2017 updates then I fully understand ,but if you can slightly modify your requirements there are new Ford dealer cars out there through brokers for a relatively small fee ,I did it and no regrets.I wish I had your patience:headbang:

Mr wolf, can I ask a question from you please, if you don't want to answer then no problem.

Your car, assume you paid ÂŁ37,000. On the basis that you bought the car outright with no finance, your insurers should be looking to either get a new car or pay you out at ÂŁ37k.

If your insurers have order d your new car, the car itself has increased in value new cost wise, so are they covering the extra ?

Also, if insurers have ordered the new car for sept 2017, have they already paid in full the ÂŁ37k to fords, or have they paid the deposit and paid you the money, or have they held on to it to pay fords next year ?

Just asking as I have thought what happens to my car in the worse case scenario ?

Cheers mate.

This is what GAP insurance is for.

No Gap insurance. Due to the age of the car, it is being replaced on new order, like for like. What they don't cover is the excess or the first year of road tax.

I paid ÂŁ35,100 for the car. The same car through ford now I believe is almost ÂŁ38000 (but as mentioned, I'm sure they're not paying that amount).

So that means you have to stump ÂŁ2K then?

Does anyone know what the situation is with the 2K tax? How much are Ford paying?
