Excellent news :ford:

Have the insurance company provided you with a "temporary" replacement?

Congrats, did you go for the same colour/spec?

Were you tempted to get second hand one to avoid the wait?

Nice one, same spec as yours (Mag, Auto V8)?? as I said on FB, maybe lucky and get 10s DCT, but depends if ford bring it over here. On a plus, you will be more than likely nailed on for a MY18 facelift, without having to worry about depreciation on yours(well....), just gotta pay for a replacement car during the midrift between waiting.... 10 months and counting!

Same spec as the last one (including Auto).

Went through the "New Car Replacement" scheme with the insurers (who actually placed the order). They told me the order process options have not yet changed for the MY18 so expect to get the same car back (as a minimum - any upgrades will just be a bonus).

Yeah, I wouldn't imagine the UK ordering system will recognise any changes until a month or so prior to the '18s being built. It's the same in the US....order guides are notoriously late in being updated for the new model years!

:)

UK system doesn't have MY18 stuff in it yet, infact, it hasn't even been announced, but if 'general' Ford processes are followed, as in new cars begin being built on X date, you'll be past 'X-Date' therefore probably a good chance all the rest is upgraded... Same with the car upgrades etc.

In a bit of a limbo at the moment regarding the mods. Hopefully will hear this week whether they are covered by the policy (which I believe they should be), or I pick them up from the car (if they are still around - if not I expect re-imbursement for the value I paid)

Fantastic news Tom and the best outcome. Get a snotter to burn around in and Sep will be here in no time. You can pass the time by looking at other mods and talking shop on here! Roll on Sep for you.

They spent 2 weeks looking and couldn't find the same spec car I guess.
